Scallop Weekend

We had a perfect weekend trip at this house! For my sons 6th birthday he wanted to go scalloping with his best friends. We had 2 families (4 adults/4 kids) and a dog and it was the perfect size!There were multiple comments throughout the weekend on how pristine the house and appliances were. They had everything you would need in the kitchen and everything was kept SO organized. Speaking of organized the shed was a dream. I told my husband to take notes,lol. The kids loved kayaking to the springs and fishing off the dock and trying to catch blue crabs (the dog also like the crabs). We had a great stay and will most definitely book again for our next scallop adventure!

Weekend Adventuring

Our first attempt, but definitely not our last, at scalloping. We had a great time in Homosassa. Our contact, Nancy, was wonderful. The check-in / out process was super easy and the home was perfect for our party. Two families shared this house and experience together with no issues. It was perfect for us and the dock was suitable for two boats, but we did have to raft off of each other. It is such a beautiful location, the local restaurants and bars were incredible and the people were polite and friendly. There is so much to do if you love the outdoors and water. The only mistake we made was to not stay for a full week. It would have been nice to see more of the local establishments and spend some more time fishing. We mainly stayed in the scallop grounds, but we will extend next years trip to allow us to do more activities.I highly recommend this home and dealing with Nancy is a delightful experience. We will be back.

Our happy place!

This is our second stay in this home and we just love everything about it; coffee or beer on the dock, kayaking early morning and practically having the lake to ourselves, barbecues and sitting around the fire pit in the back yard, central to restaurants and sightseeing, and only 5 minutes from a Publix! The house itself is so welcoming and exudes holiday vibes! It has absolutely everything you need, the hosts have really taken care to ensure you have enough to get you started, and they have kayaks, board games, most TV channels, and a helpful package of things to do and where to eat! House is always super clean and there are notes around the home to help you use the appliances! Coffee maker, toaster, air fryer, ice maker, all sorts of cookware and utensils, beach towels, hairdryers etc. We enjoyed being able to stay with our pups this time too, the fenced yard was perfect, and the tiled floor ensures no one else has to enjoy them!! Can’t recommend enough! We will be back again; as the title states this is our happy place and we always feel relaxed and refreshed when we leave!

Relaxing getaway

We enjoyed our stay in this house very much. Sitting on the dock and looking down the canal was the best part. We enjoyed the kayaks and the large open living areas. The only negatives were that the third bedroom is a sunroom with the easiest access to the backyard and the kitchen lacked any extra spices, foil, etc that I feel people would leave behind after use. The house was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location and accommodations

We stayed here for a quick weekend trip and found the house to be everything we needed. Like most of the other reviews said, it was very clean, the house is very close to restaurants and the springs. It makes it a great spot after a day of scalloping. We loved the outdoor space for our kids to play. My only warning is the room with the bunk beds does not get very cool. It worked okay for us because we are Floridians and it was the kids room, but the lowest the room temperature got was 75 degrees but mostly it was in the high 70s or low 80s. Again this was also August.

Wonderful getaway

This was an amazing vacation with our family. The home was beautiful and clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. The boat dock allowed plenty of room for our boat and the kayaks were great. Would highly recommend this home if you’re looking for a very relaxing vacation!!

Wonderful Stay

We have stayed in many VRBOs and I must say this house was the cleanest. It was as described. Everything you need for a stay and more. The Shed had all kinds of extra stuff and my grandkids loved the kayaks. It is very close to the spring which made it extra special and easy to get out to the bay to scallop. The kids loved fishing off the dock. The owners were also very accommodating when we initially had to change our date. We will definately be coming back.

A home away from home

We cannot express enough gratitude for rental properties that put so much care into their home that it makes us feel so at home. This house is very well maintained, clean, and has lots of space to be comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much, which included getting out in the provided kayaks a couple times. Great location!

Great Homosassa Home

It’s in a great location, within minutes of plenty of restaurants and attractions. We had a great time kayaking the canals and spring. The home is spacious, clean and well decorated. Would benefit from room darkening drapes across the back to control the afternoon heat. And the third bedroom is almost unusable in the summer heat.

Perfect, relaxing, more than well equipped stay on beautiful Homosassa Springs.

The home itself it clean, spacious and offers everything you need and more. Plenty of china and cookware, towels and bedding; coffee pot, blender, washer and dryer; Disney+, prime video and board games; barbecue, mini beach with sand toys; outside furniture; kayaks, plenty of life jackets; a large fenced yard and a covered dock looking out on the canal. The home is only a 5 minute drive from Homosassa Springs State Park, Publix, an ice-cream shop and pizza parlour to name a few. Also 20 minutes from Three Sisters, Crystal River, Kings Bay and 30 minutes from Weeki Watchi. The best thing though is Homosassa Springs. Kayaked every day to see the manatees play, eat and sleep, as well as the birds like the Heron and Snowy Egret, which seemed to be on the canal every morning! The communication was awesome. We will definitely stay here again.

Amazing house and perfect location!

I’ve stayed at a lot of rental properties in Homosassa and this one was my favorite! Great location for boaters. Close to the springs and restaurants. House has everything you could need, and I love the manatee theme the home has! We will definitely be back!

Great place to relax!

We have a family of five. This home was perfect for all of us. The boys did lots of fishing and caught lots of fish. We all went kayaking a few times. We sat outside and watched the wildlife from the dock. We made s’mores by the fire pit. It’s a very comfortable home with lots to do!
