We rented this lovely home for the week before Labor Day with teenagers and a dog. Tons of natural light inside, a roomy deck, and a yard with comfortable chairs to watch the sunset made our stay very enjoyable. The mature pines in the back yard were a good source of shade and added some privacy to the house, but I don’t think it took away from the water views. The hotel next door allows pets too, so if you bring your dog, there will be friends for it. A few houses to the left of the house are two marinas for boat rentals. It was easy to walk over and get our boats and tubes. The floating dock was perfect to dock the boat or sit on late at night to look at the stars. It took our dog three days to get comfortable with the dock’s movement to get on the boat. There’s no ladder on the dock, but due to some boat traffic, I’m not sure if it’s safe to play in the water at the end of the dock. My dog liked the shallow entry to the water. The hot tub worked great (and it’s serviced weekly). The kitchen appliances and washer / dryer are newer. The outdoor Weber grill was older. They had tons of kitchen utensils, dishes, bowls, bakeware, glasses, etc. This is not a secluded house - the driveway is right along a secondary road, across the street set back a ways is the back of a gas station and a Burger King. The hotel next door has a fire pit so folks are enjoying it into the late night. With that being said, the house faces the water, there’s no windows facing the street, and we didn’t really feel the busyness behind us. Overall, a wonderful, relaxing, enjoyable stay. Thank you!
