Cute A Frame!

I have always wanted to stay in one of these tiny A Frame houses at Surfside Beach. They are very small, but we had a small group, so it was perfect. The place was a few blocks from the beach, very cozy and comfy, and the owner was great! We accidentally locked ourselves out once, and she had someone come immediately and let us in! She answered all our questions right away and was VERY helpful. Great stay!!

Overall, we had a good experience for the price we paid. Though there are a few things that could be improved or changed, we’d stay here again. This was our first trip to Surfside, and we loved the small, quaint community! The beach was clean and not crowded. Owners communicated quickly and were helpful. Pros:-House was clean and super cute. Lots of beachy accessories. -Outdoor shower was really nice! -Porch on main level was nice to hangout on. -Kitchen is small but had everything we needed to cook and eat. -A/C works great -Quiet neighborhood Cons:-This property does not have beach access. You can see the ocean from the porch, but even the public beach access just down from the house leads you onto the rocky part of the beach. There is a public beach access about a 4-minute drive from the house, and it was easy to get to. -The stairs leading to the loft are STEEP. Though there is a picture of them, it doesn’t do it justice. They are narrow, slick, and don’t have an adequate handrail. I would be worried about having small children in this house. One of my friends fell all the way down the steps the last morning. -Water pressure and temperature are inconsistent. The only reliable hot water was in the outdoor shower. We didn’t have hot water in the kitchen till the last day, and it was intermittent in the inside shower.-Listing is for 6 people, but 4 adults maxed out the available room in the house. Moving around with that many people was a challenge at times.

Birthday Weekend

We had an amazing time. We lost a very special woman in our life. We wanted to be able to celebrate birthdays and Mother’s Day with minimal tears of loss. My daughter found a shell that was identified as Angel Wings The owner was very responsive and respectful. I would recommend this house for small group.

Perfect for 2!

We loved our stay in this A-frame and our time in Surfside. Great location in town with a view from the huge deck. Being able to bring our 2 dogs is top priority for us and this house was very accommodating. Furnishings were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Only thing that could have been better was the shower water pressure. Not a concern for some but definitely is for others. Owner was vey easy to communicate with and we greatly appreciated our early check-in. Thanks for a greatbstay!

Great quick getaway from Houston

Cute property! Close to the beach. Equipped kitchen, nice space, had everything our little family of 3 needed. Loved the deck. Grateful the property was dog friendly so we could include our senior lab on our trip. Surfside is a special community and we loved our time at the beach.

We stayed at Cape Joy Surfside Beach, TX it was a very quiet & peaceful town, the accommodations were fabulous!!

We loved all the small touches in our little house-beautiful, clean and relaxing. We loved our experience at Cape Joy!! Evolve was awesome & there at every turn, we will use them on our future vacations!! Thank you!!

Wonderful weekend getaway

The place was perfect for a weekend getaway to Surfside. The house is very basic and simple which is all we needed and expected for the price. Owner was very helpful and worked with us extremely well. The kids already miss the triangle house! My one note, past reviews state the stairs are steep, I would more describe them as a large ladder in order to access the loft. Older, very little children and those with physical limitations will struggle to use. This is just a product of the small home trying to have more space. It worked fine for us.

Perfect for a little getaway. It’s a cute and cozy place to stay. It’s not a very big place but it was great for myself, husband and dog. Joy was very nice and made everything easy regarding our stay. Will definitely return.

Decent Space/Location

It is an older property but decently maintained. This would be a tight fit for a family or multiple adults. For a couple it was an intimate space. Short drive to beach access and the fishing jetty.

Felt like home!
