Wedding Party House

My husband and I rented this house for our wedding party as it is 2 mins away from the venue we had our wedding at (Parkway Marina). It was perfect! The 2 different houses helped when were all getting ready, girls in one house and guys in the other house. Perfect for our wedding weekend! :)

So much fun!!!

My family and I had so much fun! Loved the location. We spent a lot of time on our boat and a lot of time on the dock. We loved all the lake toys. Especially loved spending time with our doggies.

Graduation Celebration

Mellow Yellow was the perfect location for us to gather our family and friends to celebrate getting my doctorate! The view was absolutely spectacular. There were plenty of watercrafts so everyone could enjoy time on the lake. The dock was large so that many of us could hang out together. We rented a pontoon from Parkway Marina close by and had no trouble tying up to the dock. We would highly recommend Mellow Yellow!

Great escape

This was a great place to spend a few winter days with our medium sized group. Houses were clean, plenty of space for everyone to spread out, exactly what we were looking for.

Perfect!

We had a family/friend get together for a birthday and the two separate houses were perfect for the boys to do their thing and the girls could do theirs and still also hangout all together! The only things that I would have added are: there isn't a remote for the TV to switch HDMI settings to watch a DVD in the roadside house and couldn't find the lights for the balcony to grill at night in the lakehouse but overall LOVED it!

Houses were great! We had 9 adults and everyone had ample room to move around! The place was clean and comfortable You have to take your own trash and recycling before leaving which we didn't know so give yourself an extra 30 minutes in the morning to load it up and drive it over to the facility about 10 miles away. The house next door is under construction and they start at 8am so it wasn't exactly the quiet get away we had planned, but still a lovely setting! The dock is great and there's a nice sized fire pit to gather around at night. All and all we would book again!! A slightly later checkout would be great considering all that needs to be done per check out instructions

The only regret..the TV services was not available first 24 hours..we called and able to reset the Dish network..i would suggest a information sheet to help how to navigate the DishTvs.

SML at your fingertips

Our group of 12 adults had a great time relaxing by the lake at Mellow Yellow! The separate houses really make you it feel like everyone has enough space! The dock is a great place to hang out and drink some cocktails. There are lots of stairs to climb though! The firepit is in a little bit of an odd area near the back of the property, which doesn't really face the lake.

Fun!

We had a great stay. Just one ay when the shared well went dry and we had no water for 1 day. However, the management company was very responsive and supplied us with drinking water. Other than that, we had a great stay. You will find everything you need between the two houses. I believe that various kitchen supplies travel between the two. So, if you can't find something you are looking for in one kitchen just look in the other. This is great for 2 families!

Nice location, homes need some updating

The location is convenient and is in a nice cove. The homes are nice, but need some updating. For the home closer to the water 1 AC sensor means the first floor is super cold, middle floor is set, and 3rd floor is hot. AC struggled to stay below 77 when over 90 outside. This home also has a non-upgraded kitchen and is fairly dark feeling inside. The upper home had the same AC issues with the AC sensor being on the top floor and air on that floor struggling to get below 78 when over 90 outside. The front door needs to have a walkway or path put in and very old or very young people would have struggled with the circular stairway in this house. My mother was afraid to use it and my brother wouldn't allow his younger children to use it.

Nice place to stay

Overall the house and property was great. The only negative is there is no walkway to the front door of the first house. We checked in during a downpour and having a walkway instead of walking on grass would have been preferred.

Mellow Yellow was fantastic!!

I highly recommend this property. With teenagers and adults, we were able to spread out and make use of the two kitchens and six bedrooms. The houses have many sitting areas and decks, so there is a sense of privacy. The location is wonderful with a small cove for safely swimming off the dock, but then it opens up for boating, tubing, and water skiing. We rented a boat from Parkway Marina which is right across the street!!! (Easy pickup/drop off, and close gas pumps when you need it). Only two drawbacks, you have to haul your own trash and many, many stairs. As long as your party is generally healthy, those items won’t bother you! Overall, I will definitely rent again!!!!! We had a wonderful time!!!

Lovely

Lovely place but missing some things. One tv in each house when it rained two days. Out by 10? Even hotels let you check out at 11. Didn’t find the fire pit. Canoe full of spiders. Turned out to be a bigger pain taking linen, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags towels. It was really disappointing that we were expected to take the trash out too. Yes there is trash on Thursday but after that trash is taken out by you. Check in/out easy enough though 5 hrs out of the way.

Lots of stairs, as described, keep in mind as you evaluate your groups needs. Nice, clean place. Kitchen supplies in need of a restock for both houses, but probably just because we were at the end of the season. We had a great time and would definitely return!!! Beautiful sunsets!!!

Beautiful Sunsets!

This house has a beautiful view of the lake. Sunsets are amazing from the dock or the deck. It was great for our large extended family, except that the stairs in both houses were challenging for our young grandchildren and our 80 something great grandma. Main floor of the main house is challenged by AC. It was having a hard time keeping up on hot July days, but we had a wonderful time. Treks deck by the water is a nice feature.

Loved Mellow Yellow!

This is a spacious and well kept lake house complex for an extended family group of 12 people. The buildings were comfortable and served us well. We enjoyed the waterfront including the canoe, kayaks fishing and swimming. We have stayed here for a week at least 3 times, and have always been eager to return another year.
