We have opened up our place again this year for summer guests. There is no better place to view Lake Superior than on the Onota Hill!!
This one bedroom apartment is situated on 40 acres of land overlooking Lake Superior. It is a quiet, remote getaway location. Unplug and relax in our piece of heaven. The apartment has a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Superior. A great place to sit and watch the sunrise with a nice cup of coffee!! This rental is 25 minutes from so many local attractions!! It is centrally located to some of the best attractions!
25 minutes to Pictured Rocks
25 minutes to Marquette
15 minutes to AuTrain beach and The AuTrain River, one of the most popular rivers to canoe in the UP!!
5 minutes to Lake Superior
5 minutes to Deer Lake, a very popular beach/ swim area
Our apartment is close to ATV trails and hiking. The apartment has 1 bedroom with a queen sized bed and a twin bed. There is a full size sofa sleeper in the living room.
Onota Hill is a perfect location to be able to explore the central Upper Peninsula. The perfect getaway!!! With plenty of close hiking trails and waterfalls, there is always something new to explore.
This rental is on 4 miles of maintained dirt road. It is an upstairs apartment, with stairs. Apartment includes full shower, microwave, stove, refrigerator, coffee pot and coffee. All bedding and bathroom towels are provided. There is a TV with DVD player, board games and books. Cable and WiFi are NOT available.
Minimum 2 night stay. There is a discount for a 7 night stay or month rental.
There has been some confusion in the past, this is an apartment above our garage. The garage is not attached to our house but our house is right next to the apartment. We are the only house on the 40 acres.
This is a quiet, clean UP retreat.

Super quiet with amazing views! Hosts were super nice and even left us the sweetest welcome basket of fresh peaches, strawberry jam, and cookies! It was a long way from anywhere, which is perfect if you are looking to get away from it all in the UP!!!

Quiet retreat

If you’re looking for a quiet retreat off the beaten path this is your place. I enjoyed the above garage apartment. A rainy night there are DVDs to watch.

Awesome view and close to Pictured Rocks

A secluded getaway, with great views. We especially liked sitting on the sofa and looking out the window at Lake Superior. A short 30 minute drive to Munising where we went kayaking and explored Pictured Rocks.

Beautiful Spot

This property is tucked away in the woods with a beautiful view of Superior. The fall colors were breathtaking. The place was clean as advertised and communication was great. Would love to stay here again!

Cozy quiet off the beaten path

Nice clean place to stay, accommodations were good !!! Jodi was very informative leading up to our stay. Trees keep it shaded so it wasn’t to warm, only suggestions I would call it one bedroom with pull out couch bed in living room. Could up grade to bigger tv and possibly a mini split for air conditioning. All and all nice cozy quit clean place to stay and affordable!!! I would recommend it .

Peaceful Getaway

Very nice secluded land with a great view of Lake Superior. About a 30 min drive to Munsing and 45 min to a hour from Marquette. Lots of hiking and things to do/see in the area. Weather can change from day to day so make sure to pack for all seasons. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to stay in a hotel or is looking for that country feeling. Jodi and Mike are great!

A great place to relax! The view was fantastic, the hosts were friendly and helpful. We didn’t realize the apartment was above a garage (which was probably just my fault for not noticing in the listing) but that caused no issue whatsoever! We loved our stay. The only small thing I would comment on was that one of the bedroom windows was missing a screen. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it was pretty hot during our stay and we didn’t want to leave the screenless window open for long because of bugs. Again though, that’s a very small thing and we were provided a couple fans that really helped. We were very, very pleased with the accommodations and would recommend it to anyone!

The apartment had a stunning view, close to pictured rocks and was quiet. Not to mention they have a sweetheart of a yellow lab! This was a great trip!

Hidden Gem

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Jodi's place. The best part is the view of Lake Superior directly from the front windows. The apartment was very cozy and accommodating. Perfect spot for getaways to Marquette and Munising. Only suggestion would be an upgrade to main bed as mattress was uncomfortable. Jodi checked in on us our first night to make sure we were all set, and we thought this was sweet. We loved her place, and hope to visit again!

Weekend Getaway

We had wonderful experience! The communication from the property owners was great. They gave us detailed directions to make getting there easy, came over and greeted us when we first arrived, and always ensured our needs were met. The view from the property is breathtaking. Overall great hospitality.

My husband is a born and raised Yooper. We fell in love with this piece of land for its stunning panoramic Lake Superior views. We built this apartment above our garage where we lived for 3 years until having a family. We then built a home next to our garage/apartment. Our house is next to the apartment, but no other homes are visible from our land. We have three adult children. We do have a dog who is inside most of the day.

This property is great for a relaxing get away. We have an amazing panoramic view of Lake Superior. In the autumn, the fall leaves are breathtaking. We are centrally located to many outdoor activities in Munising and Marquette; as well as breweries, restaurants and quaint shops. We are just 15 minutes from the Autrain River, one of the UP’s most popular rivers to canoe. We are a short 5 minute drive to Lake Superior and 5 minute drive to Deer Lake, a very popular swimming spot.
Many of our guests choose our place as a central location to explore the upper peninsula. We are only 30 minutes from the start of Pictured Rocks national lakeshore. We are 30 minutes east of Marquette with Black Rocks, Sugar Loaf and lots of restaurants. We are close to many waterfalls including Laughing Whitefish falls, Munising Falls, Wagner Falls, AuTrain Falls. We are about a hour scenic drive from Fayetteville State Park and Kitch-ita-kipi Springs. Come relax, and explore the rustic Upper Peninsula while also enjoying modern conveniences.
