Great quiet stay.

Spent the week in Milton for work and this was the perfect, quiet retreat. There is dirt road great for walking with cattle, horses and barns. It was a great stay!

Perfect for a weekend getaway

The lodging and parking was great. Very quiet and great patio, overlooking a beautiful forest. Perfect for a couple visiting the area. Very clean and was as advertised. Had everything you need for a couples weekend, with local restaurants and scenery is a great bonus.

Cozy and Cute

I really enjoyed feeling like I was on vacation in a small cabin in the woods. The bathroom is just a bit tight for a woman of my stature, but as long as you're of average height or smaller it'll work out for you. Kitchenette definitely prooved to be convenient. The hosts were very responsive and gave great directions.

Better than a hotel!

A little quiet place best if you by yourself or just your spouse. I usually stay at a hotel when I come down to Atlanta for training for work but decide to give this a try. It so much better than a hotel! No slamming doors and no hearing other people talking. I be staying down here again on the next time I have to come down.

Good base for exploring

Perfect property for one person, two may have been a crowded. Kitchen was a little sparse and you certainly could not cook a meal in it with ease, but basic items were available. No area to sit and relax. Overall I found the property perfect as a base to visit my family in the Atlanta area

Very clean and comfortable

This is my second stay. The steps were more difficult to use in bringing items to the suite. I am having more restrictions related to my former injuries to my knees and ankle.

Thank you for your review:-). We're glad that you found our guest suite clean and comfortable:-) We are sorry we didn't earn five stars from you (this was our first review that was not five stars) and are not sure from your review where we went wrong, considering that the stairs are the same as when you first stayed with us and you made no complaint at that time. We work very hard to be attentive to everything that will give our guests a comfortable stay in our home. We were a bit disappointed that you broke one of our wine glasses (we understand; accidents happen) but didn't tell us, nor did you completely clean up the glass on the floor. And it took a lot of work to remove the food stains you left on our quilt (and also didn't warn us about). Given the state of our suite when you left this time and the lack of communication on your part, we'll presume that this was perhaps a difficult time for you in general. We appreciate your choosing us for two stays, and we wish you well and hope you find a space more accommodating to your knees and ankles.

only one problem

The apartment was very cute and private. The walk to the apartment was down a cute stone path with fairy lights, just so pretty. My only complaint is the infestation of German cockroaches, that invade at night. The first night i woke up to one on the ceiling and one on the wall. The second night the curtains were covered with many roaches. I left and went to a hotel for the rest of my visit there in Georgia.

We're very sorry we didn't earn a five star review from you. We are a bit confused with your complaint about "German cockroaches" because we have never seen nor had any other complaints about roaches at all! And we are very disappointed that you didn't mention this to us during your stay. We didn't even know that you had left early! The only thing that we can even come up with is that perhaps you saw what we in Georgia call "palmetto bugs". These are outside dwellers that are prevalent in the woods (and we are definitely in the woods), and they will sometimes come in (because no house is air tight) when it rains. But then they quickly die because of our bug treatment and/or because they don't have any water. They are not at all associated with uncleanliness, but they can be surprising giving their large size ("German Cockroaches" are small and hide and scurry rather than hang out on the ceiling or curtains). We're very sorry for the unwelcome visitors. We wish you had said something. But your review is very misleading. Using the word "infestation" and labeling the bugs specifically as "German cockroaches" is pretty harsh. Our little guest suite is very clean. It is right next to our private living quarters, which also are clean. Living in the woods means living with nature, and the beauty and peace very much outweigh the wildlife issues that come with it.
