We had an awesome time hanging in it for a birthday weekend. The space is beautiful and the pictures really don’t even do it justice! It was perfect!

We loved the property! House was clean and well equipped with all we needed. Host was good about getting back with us when we had any questions or concerns. We loved the large shelter house and access to the beach on the river. We had fun wading and kids swimming in the river. Close location to Brookville town, White River Park and Metamora.

Great Property

Had a nice stay along the Whitewater River! Home is set up perfectly for plenty of space and privacy. Enjoyed the shelter and lower yard along the river. Great place to hang out and enjoy the scenery even in the cooler months.

Amazing Weekend Getaway!

Our stay was amazing! The property was clean, wide open to enjoy the weather and the river had a clear access! Plenty to do even with the rain storm we had. Corn hole, horse shoes, volleyball and we grilled and had a fire! They supplied us with some wood. Great stay for a family! Super close to bonwell boat ramp to enjoy a day of boating!

Really nice property. Our host was friendly and got additional supplies to us very quickly. Property a little steep for older visitors but really well manicured. Couldn't figure out the microwaves on either side.

Beautiful property. River was awesome. We had a blast. Played cornhole in the pavilion. Both units are furnished very well. We were looking for a place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Only complaint is, the fish weren’t biting. Definately on our list to vacation again. Thank you.

we had planned for fewer people and in the end added two more. The host let us after some negotiations. It was cold and wet and would be more of a summer place for us The family had a nice stay. there were enough of everything there

Great River cabins

The 2 river cabins are great. They were a little hard to find. The hosts Mark and Jan were great. The rooms were clean and the kitchens and bathrooms were well stocked. To get to the bathrooms you had to go through a bedroom which was a little inconvenient. The location on the river was wonderful. We were able to fish, swim and kayak. Nearby restaurants were convenient and Brooks lake was just a short drive away. I would definitely recommend this place for a short getaway.

Beautiful property right on the river. Covered area down by the river was a great place to spend time with my friends. Everything about the place was perfect except for the fact that the hosts home is extremely close to the property. I do not recall the listing stating that. They did not bother us or anything just felt dishonest in their listing.

Hi Erin. There are 3 houses on our nine acre property: our house by the road, the River House, and the Yellow Farmhouse. The River House is best for those who want river views, the large picnic shelter, and the large grassy area. Our house is up the hill, on the backside of the River House, but we absolutely try to give guests as much privacy as they desire. For those that prefer more secluded accommodations and can sacrifice the river views, we recommend the Yellow Farmhouse, which is 500 feet away from the other houses but still has access to the river.

Perfect for Peaceful Miami Univ. Graduation Weekend

This property was perfect for our family's stay to celebrate our youngest graduating from Miami University. We were looking for a place away from all the pomp and circumstance, where three generations of family could relax between weekend ceremonies in Oxford. The drive to the college was simple and on country roads. We rented both sides of the river house, had a cookout and celebration Saturday at the shelter house, explored and waded down the river and had a nice little bon fire the last night there. The house was very clean, well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Everything we needed was in town: restaurants, IGA, butcher, ice cream, CVS and dollar stores. Would love to come again when weather is warmer to fully enjoy the river. Thank you for sharing your lovely properly!

We rented both sides of this cottage for the weekend. Comfortable, clean, lovely setting. Highly recommend.

Nice riverfront place

We had a good time at this place, rented both sides, beds were comfy, place was clean, perfect for being close to town but felt secluded, even with owners house directly behind, house sits on hill, so going up an down the hill to shelter house an river u will get a workout! Caught some catfish on the river at night, overall nice place!

Great time exploring Brookville

We rented the two joined units for 4 adults. Had a great time hanging out and exploring both the river and the very nearby town of Brookville. The owners were terrific communicators, responded quickly if we had any problems, and friendly. Would definitely rent again. Thank you!

Beautiful River Retreat

We had a very nice stay at the river house. The pavilion was great to cook and hang out in, especially when we got some rain during the trip. Easy river access with a beautiful area of the river to hang out in if the water isn't too high (luckily it wasn't our whole trip until the day we were checking out). They even had a horseshoe pit near the pavilion which was a nice added bonus! The house was very clean, and it was nice having two separate areas right next door to each other. Close to liveries, horseback riding, the lake, and we highly recommend seeing the wolf habitat nearby as well! The owner's residence is close, but they were very kind and it still felt secluded and private. We plan to return in the future!

Family Adventure

Property exceeded our expectations. House nice and cozy. Plenty of Adirondack chairs to relax in by the fire pit by the house as well as the shelter by the river. The shelter also had two roomy picnic tables plenty of room for family grilling, eating and games. The river was ideal for the kids to float, wade and play in it. You can go up river put in if you want a longer float. Town close by and if feeding a larger crew I would recommend the Dairy Cottage and the El Reparo restaurant. 5 Stars in my book relaxing, fun and adventure.
