Glenwai is a private, fully insulated, double glazed and warm apartment close to the beach. It is in a very quiet location surrounded by an extensive landscaped garden. It has its own private entrance, and ensuite bathroom and a well equipped kitchen. Easy walk to the Motueka Golf course and the town cafes. A pleasant walking/bike pathway is at the gate and will take you around the estuary with plenty of birdlife to be seen.
Only 30 mins drive to Kahurangi and Able Tasman National Parks

A gem of a spot.

Jenny is a wonderful host. Lovely garden that we had access to. Space is a little tight and some shade outdoors would enhance but then we did have lovely sunny weather. Very handy to the golf course.

Glenwai in Motueka

The accommodation is very comfortable and is ideal for a couple or single person wishing to visit the Tasman Bay area. It is surrounded by a lovely formal and kitchen garden and is in a quiet area of the town near to the golf course. I would recommend the bach to anyone wishing to have a break in this area of the South Island.

Excellent place to stay

Super 2 night stay in very comfortable surrounds, welcoming host, glorious garden, private, quiet and super location, very handy to a wedding we were attending. Would enjoy the opportunity to stay again just for a relaxing few days in the sunny top of the south. Super experience.

Booked a long time in advance and worth the wait

I tend to spend a fair bit of time looking for just the right balance of location, price, facilities, prior reviews. Very glad this was my selection for our two nights in Motueka from where we did a day trip to the Abel Tasman. A couple of home made biscuits awaited us on arrival in the compact but cute and fully functional unit. Bathroom and shower was a good size. My partner explored the garden area out the back. Flyscreens on the opening windows to keep the sandflies etc out. Everything clean and in great condition. Freeview TV channels and good wifi. Coastal area just across the road and the local shipwreck an easy walk down the road. Thanks!

Lovely garden studio!

We stayed in Jenny’s garden studio for a 5 day visit to Abel Tasman NP, and we loved it there! Her garden is incredibly beautiful and so peaceful! The studio was sparkling clean, and had just the right amount of appliances and kitchen gadgets. It’s in a great location and just a short drive from Abel Tasman and some wineries. Would highly recommend!

Quiet, peaceful & clean unit

We stayed at Ray & Jenny's for 10 days, the unit is fully contained. It was very comfortable both indoor and outdoor. We slept very peacefully on the comfy bed, great wifi and TV, and outside their gardens are beautiful. It's almost like a botanical garden, with multiple comfortable seating available under the trees in the shade, or if it's a cool morning, pick the chairs that are in the sun. And directly across the street from their beautiful grounds is the Motueka Quay, directly on the water. Easy lovely walk to town for restaurants & cafes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay a Ray & Jenny's & would definitely stay again.

Prefect place to stay

The little things make such a difference, apart from the gorgeous garden setting The rooms were spotless and the supply of milk is the most welcome touch for that urgent cup of tea after a day of travelling. The kind extra of a couple of afghans on a plate also much appreciated. Great hosts, the experience could not have been better.

Very peaceful and private. Harbour across the road with great walks. Very central to access Golden Bay or Nelson. Happy to return in future.

Spotlessly clean small but well equipped. Private and secure

Great central location to explore. Special touches were really appreciated. Quality towels and comfortable bed. Coffee provided was the best and Netflix available for rainy days. Nothing to fault.

Peaceful

We enjoyed walking around the garden, lots of nice areas to sit and enjoy the peace and birds. Our unit was easily the best ever with lots of art and the nice touches that make you feel welcome.
