30 hours notice and stay was cancelled

We had driven for 2 days and just 30 hours prior to our reservation they cancelled it on us. The person that I spoke to was very flippant and said that these things happen. There was no compensation for our hotel stay or our gas or our anxiety. Sent us a email of listings available and the listing would not pull up.

Venice home with a pool

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This home is in a quiet neighborhood about 10-15 minutes from Venice beaches. The pool is amazing! Very clean and nice. Split bedroom layout was nice to have space for our group. We had a light issue and a leaky faucet during our stay. The property manager / host was immediately responsive, kind, and helpful. We’d definitely stay here again!

Wonderful visit

My family had a great stay at this house! The property manager was easily reachable and quickly responded to any questions we had. The house was clean and was the perfect size for my family of 4. The pool was clean and well maintained. And the house has great location, close to many restaurants, beaches, and downtown area while still being tucked away in a quiet neighborhood.

Nice stay in Venice

We enjoyed our two-week stay. The house is in a quiet neighborhood convenient to downtown Venice and also close to shopping and restaurants. We were very comfortable and enjoyed sitting out under the lanai next to the pool. The sound of the waterfall aerating the pool was very calming. Also, the contact person was very responsive.

Could be great!

We were so excited to go on this long weekend getaway! We love Venice and the surrounding area! The house we normally book was full so we decided to try this place because it specifically said it included the ferry pass! However not until check in were we informed that it was no longer available because of new management. Ok so that was disappointing and felt deceiving but we let it go! We dropped our stuff and headed out for fun! When we got back and really started to take in the house is when we saw how gross and dirty it actually was! Second bedroom air vent was just caked with dust as well as most of the others including the kitchen! Floorboard trim is full of dust as well. Rings in toliets and sinks ! Disgusting!!! Pool was dirty, backyard was full of garden hoses and a broken beach chair it looked horrible! The whole house needs a deep cleaning and to be better maintained! I honestly do not know what the management company is being paid for ! Water in hand soap bottles! Half used body wash left. Food in fridge, socks in drawers and an inch of dust and gum wrappers under master bed. We did not bother to let the property manager know until we left a day earlier than we paid for because we did not want the inconvenience of her sending someone to deep clean.....it would have taken hours! Inside garage door is broken missing the inner plate so it doesn't stay closed tight. Light under back outside door as well! We love in flo

Great Stay with Pool and Close to All

Overall we enjoyed our stay here! A great house for A family of 4. Our kiddos really enjoyed the pool, and the location was close to everything. A note to further guests to look in the shed out back for pool floats and toys, I wish that had been mentioned as we bought our own prior to finding them. The biggest disappointment was not being able to use the ferry pass to the private beach as mentioned in the listing. I understand the rules have changed, but that was one reason we booked this house as we had stayed in this area before and enjoyed the ferry and private beach. Please remove that from the listing.

Great Location

Great location, close to everything. Home was very clean and provided all the necessities. Only item I would recommend is a good cleaning of the screened in pool area. Living in FL I know this area is hard to keep clean, however cleaning the deck area and sweeping off the screening would make a huge difference. We brought our own pool floats, as there is not any pool side furniture except under the lanai area.

overall good, but be prepared for...

Overall ok, but the pool is much different than on the pictures, paint arround took off, the chairs are dirty and even trash was inside. Pillow cases were so stinky like no washed after several rents. Owner delivered new pillow cases, but anyway this situation should not happen. Also before check-out instead of leaving and going home, we had to remove all used sheet, remove garbage. Overall nice owner, but property needs some work and change of cleaning service.

A wonderful and much needed stay in Venice and escape from Maine!

Upon arrival our contact host, Carol was excellent. She was even able to get us in early which was super appreciated after driving 24 hours from Maine!! She was extremely quick to return a call or text and resolved a couple issues very promptly!! She was a true joy to converse with. The place was clean, comfortable and welcoming upon arrival. It was a home away from home that we settled into very quickly. Convenient location so close to lots of things to do. The pool area is where we spent most of our time while there. It was hard to leave. Thanks for the great stay in Venice!!

We were really happy driving into the neighborhood and up to the property. The neighborhood is located close to everything we needed. The house is lovely, clean, comfortable with an awesome private screened in porch and pool. We had a great time!

Nice location

The house was nestled back into a quiet neighborhood, yet close to everything it was a short 10 minute drive to a very quiet, secluded, and beautiful beach. We enjoyed the pool and all the amenities this home had to offer. We will definitely be back.

Weekend get away

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very beautiful and clean. It was close to everything. As mention to having access to the private beach. We were unable to get access since they have change the rules. The owners tried there best. Over all would definitely stay again. The only thing is there were a lot of spiderwebs around the pool. Maybe have someone wipe down the cobwebs as part of their cleaning.

My family of 5 was very comfortable in the house and we had a wonderful time. The heated pool was great to fall into after hitting the beach. The house was clean and located just a few min from the beaches, shopping, and dining. Our host Carol was amazing and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for everything Carol. Good location, close to downtown. House was clean but the backyard and pool needed some work. We contacted the manager about the pool cleanliness and they took care of it. It was a comfortable house to come back to each evening.

Peaceful, Quiet Retreat

We were very impressed with this rental. The owner was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had during our stay. "We want you to be very happy," she said to us over and over again. The rental was clean upon arrival and well-stocked with everything needed to make our meals. To our pleasant surprise, we even found coffee and tea packets available for our use together with sugar packets and cream packets. The pool was very warm - something we really appreciated. The rental is located minutes from downtown Venice and various beaches as well. We would very much recommend this rental to others who desire to spend an enjoyable time in the Venice, Florida area.

Great location and communication!

The location was exactly where we needed to be to be close to friends we were visiting as well as close to a major highway to get to restaurants, the beach and downtown Venice. Communication with the property manager was great! We really appreciated the quick responses and the fact that we could check in early so my husband could take a work Zoom call. The bed, couches, etc were all comfortable although we only used the master bedroom. Would have liked more lighting in the master as it was dark at night and even during the day. Bathrooms were equipped with what we needed and plenty of storage and hanging space in the closest. We used the pool once and it was clean and warm. There is nothing luxurious about this place, but it was clean, had everything we needed and the manager was very easy to work with.

This was a wonderful clean home! It was the respite we needed.

Everything you need is right at your fingertips! I would suggest leaving some direction on turning on a pool heater so on cooler days like during our stay, we could use the pool. We would definitely stay here again, and we appreciate you sharing the hime With us!

Wonderful Getaway!

The house is just as pictured and described in listing. Carol was a great communicator and very attentive to our needs and issues. We were in the area early and with a quick phone call I had the code to check in early! We had a small issue upon arrival and Carol responded and fixed it quickly! Pool was lovely, house was comfortable and very clean. Our only suggestions would be more lighting and mirrors. We LOVED the ferry and private beach, absolutely beautiful! The 4 provided beach chairs and umbrella were nice since we flew in.. We did leave an umbrella we purchased behind, so hopefully other can enjoy it. We highly recommend Blu Isle Bistro and Pops Sunset Grille. Delicious local places! Great location, great house, would stay here again!!
