Four bedroom house on 240 acres of beautiful country, close to stunning beaches

Off grid, rammed earth house set on 240 acres of rolling country. Beautiful views from the house-or you can take a peaceful walk along the creek & enjoy getting close to the local flora & wildlife.
The property is located only a five minute drive to the stunning Western river beach or ten minutes to the equally stunning Snellings beach.
The house has a large central open plan area with well equipped kitchen, spacious dining and comfortable lounge. Four large bedrooms sleep up to eight people in two queen beds & four king single beds. Two bathrooms (one suitable for disabled access) & laundry with washer/dryer.
The house is on rainwater so we would ask guests to be careful with water.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful acreage home. The property was peaceful, spacious, and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved waking up to the quiet surroundings and enjoying the outdoor space, it truly felt like a home away from home.A big thank you to our host for being so welcoming and attentive. Communication was easy and prompt, and they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the property.Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene and enjoyable getaway. We’d definitely love to return!

Great place in the country

The property was lovely and very peaceful and relaxing.Everything was very well presented and well stocked with towels and cutlery and crockery.The only downside was we had very patchy internet the whole time.

The listing does not do it justice - even better than expected. Beautiful property, well appointed, stunning location and so much wildlife. Yabbie catching was fun, device detox was what we all needed for family games and fun and perfect central location to explore the whole island. Secluded beach at the end of the road was a lovely surprise too.

Hidden Gem

Wow! What a hidden gem. We enjoyed 7 days of peace and seclusion. The house is in a fantastic location with beautiful beaches nearby. The house was well presented with amazing views from inside. Very clean and very spacious. Kids/adults enjoyed exploring the block and creek along with catching yabbies in the dam. Highly recommend. Thankyou for providing such a lovely house for us to stay in.

Kangaroo TV!!

We really loved our stay at this property. It is very private and quiet and we got to watch birds and kangaroos all the time. It is truly a unique experience. The house was very clean and well stocked. The property is fairly remote so get your groceries in Kingscote first. We LOVED Snelling Beach which is a short drive away for swim/body boarding and beautiful. We would have liked furniture we could bring outside to watch nature more (as due to fire rules can't keep outside). Kids would have liked better internet but we knew this going in and adults enjoyed the unplug. If we come back to KI we would want to stay here again.

Loved our stay in this house. Plenty of room for our extended family. Beautiful outlook with lots of wildlife to watch.The separate sleeping areas were great and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Fantastic property in a secluded part of KI with loads of wildlife.Very well presented.Had a delightful stay.Directions to the property were spot-on, but did not include the keybox code - we had to phone the property owner and it was quite late at night, but sorted immediately.One other suggestion would be to have a corkscrew

Beautiful, modern home in country quiet

This house is bigger than the photos suggest with its large open plan living and kitchen area splitting the 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Beautiful, clean and comfortable house with good sized bedrooms and pastoral views all around. Kangaroos are inquisitive and watchful. All modern appliances including dishwasher and washer-dryer. BBQ is great. That said, the house has no window coverings which means the reverse cycle heating takes a while to do its job. No reverse cycle in the bedrooms but we didn't need it for winter. Western River road is dirt with the worst corrogations I've ever driven on. Luckily a very short time on the road until you get to the property gate. We found it best for our vehichle to head back onto Playford Highway via Coopers road (newly graded at the time) for all our sight seeing. Not too far from attractions like Remarkable Rocks, Admirale's Arch and Little Saraha dunes. The creek down the hill is beautiful and our kids had a great time catching and throwing back yabbies from the dam. I would have loved extra time to enjoy the peace and quiet of the property. Some wild wind (very wild!) and rain sent water seeping through the lower windows on the Western side - this didn't affect us greatly but something for owners to watch. Overall a lovely holiday stay - would stay again.

Family get together

We were a group of ten people, grand-parents, 2 children and their partners and 5 grand children, teenagers. House is very comfortable and spacious. Only criticism is lack of verandah chairs. Although it is stipulated that the reason for this is due to fire safety regulations, a few deck chairs that could have been folded in and out and taken back inside when no one in attendance, would have been very enjoyable. We also did have problems with an ant attack! So, it might be advisable to advise future holiday makers to pack and seal food very well. Thanks for an enjoyable family holiday. Priscilla Amorsen

Beauty, fun and peace.

Tammar Creek is a wonderful place for resting, playing and exploring - whether for adults or children. The house layout is perfect - providing a large space for people to get together to eat, chat, play games and generally enjoy life while also having two private sections, each with bedrooms and bathrooms. A major bonus is the closeness to Western River Cove - probably the most picturesque and peaceful of all the KI beaches that are readily accessible by road - and to Snellings Beach. Guests need to be reasonably self-sufficient for food and drink but Parndana is not too far away to top up supplies if needed. The furniture is all in very good condition and comfortable - our only suggestion would be a few folding chairs for sitting on the verandah to enjoy the peace and beauty of the view.

Wonderful house in the bush

Leanne's property was just perfect - really clean, had everything we needed - and super comfortable beds! We saw two echidnas (and for one of my students it was their first echidna sighting which was very exciting!) and had a cool night walk around the native bush part of the property. Leanne was always really quick to respond to messages and very accommodating. Such a lovely place to stay and easy to get anywhere on KI from.

I was impressed with the 5 star reviews on this property when I booked and let me say, they were 100% accurate. The house is perfect with all the amenities you will need. Plenty of space in all rooms so you never feel like 8 people are living on top of each other. Leanne was wonderful to liaise with and will definitely stay here again.

Perfect

The rammed earth house is beautifully presented with everything you could want. Wish we had a few more days to enjoy the peace and tranquillity. Sitting in the evening watching all the wildlife from the back verandah was a treat.

What a perfect piece of serenity!

This place was just perfect for our special family weekend. Although there was only four of us 2 families could stay here very comfortably. Very well appointed with generous extra added items, such as charger cords, yabby nets, games etc. There is no wifi which was great tbh and very limited internet, explaining that to the kids was priceless!!! Thank you Leanne for the unforgettable time we got to spend together!

Amazing house, amazing location, excellent host!

The house was everything we had hoped for. The location is perfect, super close to Western River Cove, Snelling Beach and Stokes Bay. The views, the flora and fauna around the house was spectacular! Leanne was an excellent host, she responded to messages promptly and all the info she provided was extremely clear. The house was big, clean, modern and very comfortable. We can’t wait to come back to Tamar Creek holiday house, and explore more of beautiful K.I
