A secluded rural cottage in lovely gardens minutes from the beach

Built in 1911, fully renovated Fleurieu Retreat offers a real chance to unwind in fresh country air and a serene environment. Immediately beyond is a tree studded valley with majestic river gums through which the farm operates and into the hills. Beautiful rural walks elicit peace and clarity of thought yet the banter of 20-30 bird species going about their daily business enables you to mindfully return to the present if you need or you may wish to further retreat into your replenishment through yoga or massage which we can bring to you by arrangement with local skilled technicians.

If, however you feel the need to revert back to activity, just a mere 10km away are the beach with a variety of water activities; cafes and restaurants; cinema, live music, steam train; horse drawn tram; galleries shops and rural city activities.

Details of all these activities are available, we can assist with bookings for surf lessons, fishing, boating on the sea viewing marine dwellers, or on riverine tours down the (petitioned for UNESCO world heritage) Coorong system where the Murray River system ends and enters the sea or on her paddle steamer; or perhaps wildlife walks day, evening; or night might interest you or you may walk on a southern portion of our 1,200km Heysen trail.
