Great Lake House

Amazing weekend away!

Beautiful location, so peaceful and relaxing being right next to the lake. House was great with the big deck looking out across lake Rotorua. Kids had a blast playing in the safe shallow lake and on the jetty, the kayaks were brilliant too. Loved being away from the main city but close enough to get to all the great attractions, Ngongotaha township is a neat wee place with a nice fish and chip place and cafe too. Would definately stay again!! Many thanks Molly

Perfect getaway

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house is clean, beds are comfortable, kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of space. The view is amazing and the use of the kayaks was greatly appreciated. Stunning indoor/outdoor living. We would love to visit again.

Cute and cozy

So cute and cozy! All the amenities we could ask for. Beds were very comfortable and the place was clean. We had a problem locking the door but our host was very responsive even though it was Sunday. She had a locksmith fix the door immediately.

Wonderful Place

Very much enjoyed our stay. The house was lovely and clean and the beds were all very comfortable. The boys all kayaked everyday and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the mornings and evening. We also enjoyed being close to the lake walkway. The lake views were great. It is a very peaceful and quiet spot - a great place to really unwind. The property manager, was also wonderful to deal with and very accommodating. We would love to come back again.

Great location, lovely lake views

Lovely property in a great location for Rotorua attractions. Good communication from landlord. You can't beat kayaking from the bottom of the garden! Though the kayaks don't have seats which limits how long you can go without being uncomfortable. Also only one toilet/shower room which was a bit of a struggle for a family of 5!

Weekend away for a wedding in Ngongataha

We needed a place for 8 adults to stay for a wedding close by, for 2 nights. We loved the location to the wedding and the place was well set up. Nice to have air conditioning as the midges are quite bad in February and you need to keep the place closed at dusk. The outside table is fabulous for BBQ dining. The host was really good to deal with. I would suggest 8 adults a bit much for a one bathroom (toilet in the bathroom) set up.

Lovely home on the lake!

We loved the gorgeous views at the home. It was well appointed appreciated the fans and air conditioning units. Deck was lovely and covered during rainy days. Only issue was that the kayaks which were listed as three working units only had one out of three that actually floated without taking on water. In addition one of the paddles was broken. This was disappointing as we had hoped to explore the lake as a family.

A pretty nice place near Rotorua

First off, for some reason I thought this was a fancy new home from the listing, but actually it's an older home with some recent freshening up. Everything was clean, e.g. linens, towels, carpet, counters, but there were a few minor scuffs on walls and a little bit of mold in the shower. The house is on the lake with a nice view and backyard. Some of the hedges along the driveway were in need of pruning as they were hanging out into the driveway. Some patio furniture is bolted down and there are video cameras on the exterior. These touches made me question the safety of the neighborhood... that said, the neighborhood seemed fine. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

Beautiful house with a beautiful view of the lake. Nice and quiet neighborhood perfect for relaxing.

The edgewater escape is a beautiful place to get away from city life and take some time to relax. The neighborhood was nice and quiet so there were no disturbances. The lake is right in your backyard so you can take a dip and not have to leave the house. The shopping center is only a few minutes away and there are plenty of places to visit and explore. My have was the Secret Spot Hot Tubs. Overall a great experience and perfect place escape.

Another great stay

This is our second time here at this bouse, and it was great again. This is an awesome house. The dishwasher broke down while we were there. I contacted the property manager who promptly got someone out to look at it. Turns out to be a fault within the appliance which could not be fixed quickly but at least it was looked into quickly.

Awesome stay at an amazing place

We had an awesome time. The location on the lake front is amazing, so good to be able to walk to the back to the lake front with it's own little pier. The house is well set up, with comfortable beds and nice towels and sheets. We will definitely look them up again next time we are in town.

Lovely time away with Family...

A lovely place to relax and spend time with family. We only took food. The adults and children both had alot of fun out on the kayaks (water fights in the drizzling rain). We visited the Mini Putt with Rabbits, the children and adults had great fun. It was raining or drizzly for the last 2 days, so played games we found and ate lots (had alot of laughs). A lovely place by the lake (very shallow for children) to have a quiet break away, or spend time with friends.
