The Space:

A cosy, self-contained two-bedroom cottage in the lakeside village of Ngongotahā - a comfortable, private base for a couple or small family. There's an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area to relax in, and a little deck out the back where you can enjoy the fresh air, fire up the BBQ, and soak in the hot tub. The cottage sits on the same property as the owner's home, but the two are entirely separate (bar the shared parking), with your own private entrance, so you'll have your own space.

Guest Access:

You'll have the whole cottage to yourselves - both bedrooms, the bathroom, the kitchen and the living area - along with the hot tub and the BBQ on the back deck. The cottage has its own private entrance and, although it shares the property with the owner's home, the two spaces are completely separate apart from the shared parking, so your stay stays private.



The Neighborhood:

Ngongotaha Cottage sits in a peaceful, residential pocket of Ngongotahā village, on the northwestern side of Lake Rotorua. There's a local park just moments away and the lake is close by for kayaking and paddle-boarding, while a café, small village shops and a grocery store are all within easy walking distance. Hamurana Golf Course is about 10 minutes away, and Skyline and Velocity Valley are only 6 to 7. The Rotorua lakefront, with its cafes and shopping, is around 10 to 14 minutes by car.



Getting Around:

A car is easiest here, with free parking on the premises and on the street. By car, Velocity Valley and Skyline are just 6 to 7 minutes away, Hamurana Golf about 10, the city centre and lakefront around 14, Polynesian Spa and Te Puia 15 to 16, and the Redwoods about 21. Rotorua Airport is roughly a 22 to 24 minute drive.



Other Things to Note:

The hot tub is there for guests to enjoy. This is a self-contained cottage with its own private entrance, sharing the property with the owner's home but otherwise entirely separate. It's a short walk to the village shops and café, and close to the lake.
