A beachfront one bedroom apartment designed specifically as a getaway retreat, with thoughtfully curated amenities. You have the entire ground floor and outdoor space to yourself; (owners live very part-time upstairs) A perfect hideaway for couples or a solo visit. Private entrance, well-equipped space and kitchenette, direct beach access plus Dune Dome, sauna, hot tub, footspa and hammocks . Relax with a beautiful expanse of uncrowded beach - fishing, bodyboarding, surfing, beach-combing and stargazing

We had a fantastic stay at Alex and Simon's place. They were very welcoming, and gave a welcome tour of the property and explained how to use the spa etc. The property has everything needed for a short stay and being able to walk straight on the beach was such a treat! Would definitely recommend!

Simon welcomed us with a friendly smile! He was such a great host. His little hideaway was amazing! The genuine cedarwood sauna was a treat, the huge spa, even the dome at the front to have dinner, but it was the bean bag nets on the edge of the beach that we spent most of our days! The beach is a stones throw, we walked everyday, we fished straight out the front, swam, and watched all the bonfires and fireworks being lit on NYE. Pukehina is a hidden gem, and this was a home away from home with all the luxury amenities. Thank you Simon - we will be back!

Hidden Gem

Simon and Alex made the check-in process super easy, communicated well throughout our stay and have set up their place with luxuries and bonus treats around the property to light up your stay! From star gazing inside a plastic dome, to reading on a bean bag suspended over the beach, to a fully equipped kitchenette, we enjoyed every moment - highly recommended!

Wonderful property, easy comms with owners, everything you need is at hand, a few surprises in the venue/facilities that anbsolutley enhance the stay. Recommended!

Sensation position

Sensational position with unobstructed views of the beach, directly at the end of the garden. Fantastic having the outdoor shower at the top of the sand dune. Awesome views, peaceful and quiet.

Great place to stay. The weather was very hot however the layout of the upstairs property provided us in the bottom unit with a cool sheltered covering and breeze. All utensils & amenities more than adequate.

Great Beachside spot in lovely Pukehina

Super location and great views from this property situated right on the ocean beach at Pukehina. Hosts were very friendly and helpful and provided us with everything we needed to relax and enjoy BBQing and fishing. Despite not catching any fish we had a wonderful time. The bed was extra comfy, as was the living area and outdoor area. All in all a memorable long weekend. Thanks to Alex and Simon.

beautiful location and well planned accommodation with a relaxing feel and comfie bed.

We had a lovely stay and hosts were friendly and helpful. Accommodation was very private and relaxing with sea views.

These photos don't do it justice

What a perfect hideaway spot for a couple! The photos honestly don't do the views justice. The unit itself was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and you falling asleep to the sound of the ocean is the best feeling in the world. Simon and Alex were fantastic hosts, and we cannot wait to come back - soon! Definitely worth the drive from Auckland!

A world away from the busier beaches, we offer a self-contained private apartment with direct beach access and comfortable amenities to enjoy a getaway as active or relaxing as you'd like. Pukehina beach offers excellent swimming, fishing, surfing, bodyboarding, beachcombing, birdwatching and history.

Direct access to kms of white sand beach. Comfortable queen size bed with living room and bathroom. BBQ grill, oven and hobs, microwave, fridge, electric jug and kitchen items and utensils. Outdoor space includes shaded area with a variety of seating, a grass lawn and kms of uncrowded beach.
