TWIZEL - House near the lake

Our cosy house is located a 5 minute drive from the town of Twizel or 2 minutes to Lake Ruataniwha. It is a small two bedroom house but has everything you will need to have a great holiday away from home.
Twizel is a lovely place to stay with lots of activities all year round. The house has amazing views of the mountains. Two bedrooms, both with queen beds, a small lounge with smart TV, Netflix and free wifi.
There is a deck at the front of the house to sit and enjoy the views. Plenty of space for cars to park.

Host is magnificent, very helpful and responsive.Place is great with a beautiful view and very accessible to basic amenities. A free night stay was also a big bonus.Just a bit confused as there is no table for dining but other than that place is highly recommended. Will book again in the near future.

Nice little house

Nice little house in a good location. Even though it's small, there's plenty of extra space for kids to play in the garage. Communication from the host was fantastic. Only marked it down a little as a few things were a little bit grubby.

Great Getaway

Really comfortable and central. It was a pleasure having our doggies with who thoroughly enjoyed themselves too.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. It is a small 2 brm modern house with Microwave, dishwasher, fridge / freezer, washing machine, dryer, heat pump Toaster, kettle. The place has a beautiful view of the ranges and is situated in a nice quite suburb. The bed was comfy enough. What we didn't like, was the dirty dishes that were in the dishwasher, the roasting dish inside the oven was filthy from previous use, the inside of the fridge hadn't been wiped down and there were food items in there from previous tenants. There were finger marks all over the front of the microwave and spill marks down the inside of the kitchen door. The toilet bowl was clean, but the lid and seat didn't look like it had been cleaned. There was no salt or pepper and less than a teaspoon of sugar, so were a little unprepared as a result. We also had to pay in USD, no sure if this was my mistake or not, but we live in NZ, the house is in NZ, why did we have to pay in USD? Incurring off shore penalties for foreign currency.

Small but good

The property is quite small. We were two adults and two kids, and if there was anyone more it would have been too small. There is no space for eating, a tiny wobbly table that there was no way you could have sat at and eaten as the four of us. We had a problem with the hot water, a pain but Sam was in constant contact and got it sorted within a good time. Other than that it was good, the kids enjoyed using the garage with the dart board, it was their chill out space.

Lovely Stay

A very nice modern place with in a new subdivision with stunning views in most directions. Very safe feeling area with very friendly locals. Facilities and location were ideal for our weekend in this beautiful spot. Shower pressure was great too 👌

Beautiful views, peaceful neighborhood

Amazing views of the Milky Way and of the surrounding mountains. Perfect porch to enjoy the scenery, and sliding doors totally opened up the living room to the outdoors, as well. The washer and drier worked great. The kitchen suited our needs. Our only complaint was a very slight odor in the kids bunk room. We closed the door, so it wasn’t a big deal.

Lovely Stay

The tiny home was new and didn’t even show up on google maps, but the directions the host provided made it easy to find. The home was nice and cozy, the town was very nice and close to a lot of fun activities. Close to Mt. Cook NP, and the gorgeous Lake Pukaki.
