Come stay at this quaint and charming little farm house in Florence, Colorado. . The darling crafted home is situated on an old farm complete with an antique tractor. The cottage features two bedrooms, a sleeper sofa and a full bathroom, Brewster's Farm can accommodate up to six guests. A modern farm kitchen is perfect for grandma's recipe too bake pies and cornbread, setting them in window to cool while you relax in the living room by the darling pot belly stove. Make this a great base for exploring all of the attractions in Southern Colorado.

The home is located two miles from the center of town along the Arkansas River and railroad tracks. When you're ready for some outdoor recreation, there is plenty to choose from! Hiking, biking, river rafting, kayaking, climbing, off-roading and skiing are within a short drive and Canon city is just a short drive to visit the spectacular Royal Gorge. Brewster's Farm has all you need for an outdoor adventure and relaxing getaway. Florence is known as the antique capital Enjoy browsing and finding one of a kind treasures to take back with you. Brewster's Farm is awaiting your next Colorado adventure experience. Many wonderful memories have been made here. We hope that you will have some too!

DOGS CONSIDERED WITH FEE:

This is a dog friendly property, however, please notify us if your dog accompanies you and the following additional charges will apply. A $30 per day/fee will be charged for your pet(s) and a $250 refundable pet deposit is required. Two (2) dogs maximum. No drooling or excessive shedding breeds, please. Weight limit 40 pounds. Please be courteous and clean up after your pet. Leashes required. Pets are welcome but please do not allow them on the beds or furniture.

Great little house-- clean, comfortable beds, well furnished and stocked, quick responses from hosting company, quiet road but easy to find, and it's a cute old farm house/ acreage. The water is from a well and has a sulfur smell that we weren't crazy about, but a large bottle of drinking/ cooking water was provided.

Cute little farm house!

The house was clean, quiet, and close to many outdoor areas to explore. Was a short, pleasant drive to Cañon City, the Royal Gorge, the mountain bike trail system, and a full-fast river. Great stay! We sure enjoyed our few days away from city life.

Quiet, rural location

We really enjoyed the privacy and outdoor living space on the deck on the east side overlooking the large, fenced yard. All of the furniture, including the outdoor chairs, is comfortable and the house is well stocked.

Country living at its best

Had a wonderful time here. The farmhouse is cozy and rustic, and the amenities really make it feel like home and not just any old place to stay while traveling. The deck and yard were perfect to take in the fresh country air while reading or having that morning cup of coffee--though do beware of wasps or trying to walk around barefoot. Overall a fantastic experience and a lovely property. Would absolutely stay here again.

My daughters and I had a lovely girls weekend at the Florence farm house. The house was clean and comfortable and very charming. It was the perfect size for the three of us. The manager was accommodating to our need for an early check in. Florence is a fun little town, and we are already talking about a return weekend to the area. We would definitely book this house again!

The home is well maintained and updated. There are 2 HUGE black berry trees in front yard that allowed me to make a delicious blackberry cobbler. The home has everything you need for your stay. A nice fire pit outside, bring wood.

Nice house

Nice house in a quiet location. The property is just as described and pictured in the listing. Clean, well equipped, nicely furnished. Easy, quick access to Canon City and Florence. Great communication from the property manager when we lost power due to a spring snow storm. No fault of the property, everyone in the area lost power.

Comfortable home near Cañon City

The property is nicely decorated and upgraded, including all applianes. There is an outdoor propane barbecue. The air conditioning system works well. The property is next to the railroad tracks but we only heard two trains pass by in the early evening. Other than that it was quite quiet. Orjereeevening.wellA/CA/C systems works well.

Confortable and accomodating for our service dog.

This place was great. Everything was clean. Our only problem was that we could not get the TV to work. And on our last night the furnace would not shut off. Both of these things could be an easy fix.

This was a GREAT basecamp

Quiet and central to MANY great adventures. The front porch will be your friend-an overhang for rain and the mosquitos are much less obnoxious - the back deck is death by mosquito...the deck is built over an enclosed pit that holds water and is a breeding ground for the little buggers. The house is comfortable and well appointed - the train tracks were rarely used while we were present so not an issue. The tap water smells of sulfur but not to worry, there is a chilled bottled water machine in the kitchen. Would stay again and recommend.

We apologize for the mosquito issue during your stay. Mosquitos are normally a non issue but the abundant rainfall that preceded your stay did produce abnormal insects. The porch/deck is built over dry ground and a pit does not exist. The home does have both well water for showering and bottled water for drinking and cooking. We hope that everyone will enjoy staying at Brewster's and encourage our guests to reach out during their stay if anything requires our attention. We want all of our guest to have a better than expect stay!

Comfy Farm

At first I was skeptical because we showed up in the middle of the night. Just felt sketch. HOWEVER, I was wrong! I was a nice stay. We had zero issues. More than enough supplies. Hosts are excellent. The final day of the trip the little ones kept the car light on and the car lost battery. Neighbors came over and jumped the car for us. Excellent hosts, excellent neighbors, and nice house. Would rent again next time we are in the area.

Brewster farmhouse

I have a couple of issues that need to be addressed. The yard was overgrown and was mowed the last day of our stay. AC unit main breaker tripped everyday we were there and I had to reset it for the air conditioner to work. Also the yard needs to be sprayed for bugs, they were everywhere and did not make it comfortable to sit outside. The house was good on the inside., but well water does stink. Not much you can do about that.

We were experiencing exceptional rainfall during the time period that you were traveling and apologize for the rapid growth in both the yard and insects that come with it. Under normal conditions, Southern Colorado enjoys a semi arid climate with abundant sunshine and low humidity. The AC breaker was replaced and is working beautifully. Many homes in Colorado do not have AC and we're pleased that guests will enjoy having it at Brewster's Farm. As a convenience to our guests, we do provide a 5 gallon water dispenser inside the home.

Just like camping but indoors

We were excited for our stay based on other reviews; however upon arriving we were greeted by the smell of musty laundry and old wood. It was adequate for four adults, but definitely a smaller space than I expected. We encountered many types of insects during our stay, especially outside where there is standing water, allowing for a plethora of mosquitoes. It was not enjoyable to be outside for very long which was unfortunate since we planned on grilling out. As for the grill, it has seen better days, and a nest of wasps found it to be a nice home. We also found wasps indoors, along with crickets, spiders and earwigs. We also had issues with the A/C. Fortunately my husband is mechanically inclined and was able to get the AC restarted every afternoon (we stayed four nights). He indicated that the issue is a potential fire hazard. There’s some charming out- buildings and a tractor we used for a photo op. It is nicely decorated and clean, but too many bugs and unpleasant smells. Reminded me of our camping days.

AC and locks needs repairing

The house was very clean and had plenty of towels, linens, kitchen items. There are apple trees, blackberries, and grapes growing in the yard. We even came home one evening and saw 2 deer eating! The house is located right next to a railroad. While we were there, no train came through thankfully. There needs to be a new type of lock installed. We were locked out of the house every single time we left. We were constantly on the phone with the property management. We eventually left the house unlocked. The air conditioner stayed broke the entire time we were there. I was on the phone with the property management everyday. The AC company came out on the first day and changed the thermostat. The second day the AC company said it was a faulty breaker. (The breaker box is located outside of the house). Every single night the AC would break and we would have to run around in the dark trying to find the breaker box and reset it. With having to leave the doors unlocked, and having to keep the windows open at night to somewhat cool off the house, it was very unsettling. Especially since we learned that the ADX super max prison was right up the road. After our trip, the owner gave us a 20% discount for our stay. That was a very nice gesture and we appreciated that. But with all of that said, we will not be returning.

Hi Cassie, your review is 100% valid as I was the one on the phone with you daily. Every so often there seems to be a perfect storm of issues that can plague a property all at once, and most of the time its out of our control. but we think you would agree we stayed vigilant to get these items fixed as quickly as possible for you. There was no issue beforehand regarding the door lock, but please know it has now been replaced it was the result of the extreme weather just as the air conditioner was. So, the condenser form the air conditioner that also broke during the extreme weather has been replaced as well. You were incredibly patient and kind and we are terribly sorry it impacted your trip and want you to know we have since fixed the issues. Wishing you and your family all the very best.

Perfect place to experience rapids, train, and surrounding area!

The house was tidy and well kept. The bedrooms and living space were spacious and easy to navigate. We enjoyed picking up meals from town and eating at the dining room table. Getting to the rapids and train adventure were short, beautiful drives. We would definitely stay here again! I think we all thought we would be staying on someone’s farm, but this was not a farm. Flies were really bad and we could not determine the source. If it weren’t for the flies, the view from the back porch or shade from the front porch would have been very nice.
