Summary:
You'll be sure to enjoy the sea sounds and Gulf breezes from Annie by the Sea's multiple large decks at our newest coastal cottage, Annie by the Sea! This newer built unobstructed waterfront escape has a tons of windows and doors to allow you and your group to take in all the natural light and plentiful serene views. Beach vacations are not over-rated, and this location on Treasure Island is no exception!

The Space:
BED/BATH CONFIGURATION:
~ Large master suite with King bed, en suite bath and private deck (main floor)
~ Bunk room with Twin over Full bunk bed (main floor)
~ 3rd bedroom with King bed and shared hall bath with 4th bedroom (upper floor)
~ 4th bedroom with 2 x Twin over Full bunks and shared hall bath with 3rd bedroom (upper floor)

AMENITIES: outdoors - picnic table, charcoal grill, outdoor shower,; indoors: washer and dryer, complimentary Internet/WIFI, SmartTVs

Note: the long stretch of beach and main access point is in the neighborhood at the end of Jolly Roger and is enjoyable for all beach and water activities. The small beach area you see in front of the house is great for shelling, sunning, fishing and general beach activities, but the state of TX does not allow swimming.

It's easy to stay with us and secure too! Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.

The Neighborhood:
TREASURE ISLAND:
Stop by the nearby Blue Water Bar & Grill for lunch or utilize their convenience store to snag some basic supplies and beverages, fill your bait bucket and/or rent a golf cart. Enjoy the Gulfside's uncrowded pedestrian beach (no cars allowed for 300 yards but golf carts welcomed) where you can setup your group's spot for the day on the beach to build sandcastles, jump in the frothy surf, find unique shells and sand dollars, boogie board, shore & surf fish and build an evening bonfire while you listen to the waves under a sea of stars. Or if preferred, utilize the available launch for your boat or fishing pier on the bayside. So much to do so little time!

San Luis Pass and Treasure Island have been known all over the United States for being a saltwater fishing hotspot and the most amazing sunrises & sunsets! It is 15 minutes from Surfside and across the bridge from Galveston's west end and only about 30 minutes to the heart of Galveston Island's activities. Most people come to the area to spend quality 'non-commercialized" time with family, extended family, and friend on a clean beach with excellent fishing conveniently located between Galveston and Surfside Beach. It is close enough to take a day trip to Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, Pleasure Pier and The Strand, or grab lunch/dinner at the numerous waterfront restaurants including the Sugar Skull Rolling Cafe or Beach or Beach Front Deck Bar & Grill in Surfside.

Getting Around:

NOTE: While there is a basic grocery/convenience mart (Blue Water RV Resort) within a mile and Seven Seas Grocery about 10 -15 min away, we do suggest, given this is on an island, you purchase your groceries ahead of time or at least plan to make a bit of a drive for most extensive purchases.

THE 979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES ADVANTAGE:
This property is 979 Certified. All photos, amenities, calendar, and rates are 100% accurate to the best of our knowledge. We ensure our homes are fully and professionally cleaned after each guest stay guaranteeing your stay is nothing short of spectacular. In addition, all of our homes feature luxury hotel-quality/high thread count on all sheets, bedding, and bath towels. When you rent a 979 VPS home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' guest welcome starter supply of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, toilet paper and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and we make every effort to delight.

DOG-FRIENDLY:
Up to 2 well-behaved dogs considered, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee ($125 for 1 dog, extra $75 for 2) per stay.

WIFI/TV SERVICE:
Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!

979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:
All 979 Vacation Property Services rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance of check-in. Please send inquiry and details if your stay is more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1,000,000 liability protection and $10,000 damage insurance - No Security Deposit Required!

CANCELLATION POLICY:
For any new reservation, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations.

After that, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less the booking fee.

Reservations made on 3rd party channels such as Airbnb, VRBO, TripAdvisor, etc may be subject to their terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. Please reference the site where you originally reserved your stay.

Great stay!
Located directly across from a little section of private beach, and fairly easy to get to the larger beach through the neighborhood. Great view, soft beds, fluffy towels, and everything you need for a group getaway. Property manager is very communicative left little extras for us. House is a little beat up, but no worse than what you would expect of a beach side rental. Looks like deck was recently extended so it is larger than what was shown in the photos.

Nice place, property needs a thorough cleaning
The place is nice, but it could use a thorough cleaning. We had a 1 year old in our group and he was crawling everywhere and his knees/feet were black from the floor. I realize the place is on the beach and expect the floors to be a bit dirty, but not on the first day. Furniture was also noticeably dirty and had rips on the couch. This is not a deal breaker, again just noticeable. Upstairs bathroom could use a little maintenance as one towel holder was just 'hanging' on to the wall and we just laid it on the sink. Fake door fronts on sink were also broken and fell off numerous times. Do not rely on the internet as it did not stay connected. We chose not to contact anyone about this as we didn't really need; however, it would have been nice so that we could connect to shows for the one year old. Beds were comfortable, set up was nice with 2 bedrooms on main floor and 2 on 2nd floor. There were enough bathrooms to accommodate all in our group (a definite plus). Towels were very plush and we had plenty for all of us and able to do laundry when/if needed. Mosquitos were horrendous and the size of Texas! Obviously not the fault of property, just wish we would have had some bug spray to enjoy the deck a bit more.

Couldnt ask for a better vacation home!
Everything from house to catching bait right in front of house was amazing! Did have an issue with door code but management answered quickly to reaolve the issue. WILL DEFANTLY LOVE TO STAY AGAIN! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A wonderful trip!
The layout of the home was perfect for our family of 9! Plenty of room for all of us! The price was perfect! We loved having the beach to ourselves. We will definitely be back!
