Everyone will love the relaxing surroundings, the close access to the beach and the beach club, and the Great Views! This condo is one of the best values at Pointe West! Pearl Life is an ocean view first-floor condo just a few minutes' walk to the beach. With fantastic views, ocean breezes, and comfortable furnishings, Pearl Life offers the perfect vacation for large families or multiple friends traveling together.

Pearl Life is close to the Pointe West Beach Club. You have access to the exclusive beachfront club with a wide array of resort amenities and pools. The centerpiece of the Pointe West resort is our stunning oceanfront Beach Club. Overlooking three miles of pristine Gulf of Mexico shoreline, this incredible full-service facility is unlike anything else on the Texas coast. The Beach Club offers endless choices to suit your mood... soak up the sun beside the pool, or soak away your cares in a bubbling hot tub. Play games with your kids or work up an appetite at the Fitness Center. You can also order food and drinks at The Pointe West Restaurant. The Beach Club is a complete—and totally relaxing—vacation destination.

WHY POINTE WEST?: Pointe West is a world-class resort that offers families and friends a unique opportunity to make vacation memories that will last a lifetime. It offers a beach club that makes the worries of the day melt away and you just take it all in. A family-friendly experience where everyone is there for the same reason - having good fun! The Resort is independently run and charges $25 per person, (3 years or older) beginning March 1, 2021, year-round. The use of the Beach Club is optional. The access fee is paid by credit card or cash directly to the Beach Club and is not included in rental rates.

Why Pearl Life? It is everything you could want in a vacation experience! It is immaculate, offers a host of amenities, and delivers what it promises - spacious, well-appointed home in pristine condition with a floor plan that takes travelers' needs into consideration. The master suite is private and the condo includes a fully furnished kitchen, washer/dryer in the unit, TVs, and reserved parking. Everything you need to make the most of your vacation!

Wristbands for amenities are $25 per person for the stay and sold by the Beach Club. Wristbands not required to stay in unit.

Cancellation: Guest receives 100% (Of what was paid minus the cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs more than 90 days before arrival; Guest receives 50% (Of what was paid minus cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs more than 30 days before arrival; No refunds after 30 days.

Lovely house close to the beach

The house is lovely and looks just like the pictures. It is close to the beach and the club house. The pool at the clubhouse is great with a beautiful view of the beach and a fun family friendly atmosphere.

Peaceful Getaway

There were 5 of us in our group and we loved how peaceful it was. It’s a bit of a drive to the main Galveston area but we enjoyed being removed from the crowds. The kids enjoyed both pools and the lazy river. The only thing we’ve seen at other beach condos is some beach gear to borrow since buying it for one trip is rather expensive.

Great time!

We enjoyed our stay. House was clean and well appointed (except for extra trash bags…) only complaint was the master bed, mattress seemed old and was not comfortable. All other accommodations were great.

This rental was adequate. There are 2 king beds and a bunk room which for our family is necessary. The balcony was not clean (trash & beach toys strewn). We had trouble with one of the toilets flushing and there were not enough towels for our group of 7. I contacted the management and more towels were provided. The Pointe West condo complex is nice & well cared for. The pools available are also very nice, but be aware there is a 25/pp extra fee to use the pool facilities. Although I prefer finding rentals with king beds for the adults, I will probably not rent this unit in the future.

Family vacation

This was a great property, we had 9 people and an infant. Views of the gulf and the bay, amazing sunsets. Easy keyless entry. Short walk to the gulf and one of the pools, there is a second pool a short drive away with a small lazy River. The family loved it, we will be back.

Check-in was easy because an email is sent with the address and door code a few hours before check-in. The condo is very roomy (we had 3 adults and 2 children) and it was clean and comfortable. A few negatives are the parking, it's very small and tight. The location of the condo is quite far from the beach and the walk is long, so if you have someone with limited mobility (my 70yr old mother struggled a bit) be aware of that. The condo doesn't come with chairs or umbrellas for the beach, so be ready to rent or buy those. And last is the a/c.....it works, but it is extra strong in the master bedroom and the vent rattles when it is on. Positives are the beds are comfortable, there's tvs in every room, the view from the balcony is stunning, and basic necessities are provided, including dishes.

Family time

We enjoyed our stay at The Pointe West Resort. Our condo was nice with the nice ocean view from our balcony. The only thing that was bothering us was strong smell of mold blowing from A/C thru entire condo. My husband, oldest daughter and I got sick with sore throats, itchy eyes, runny noses, headache. We only stayed there for 3 days and left to go back home.

Entire family enjoyed our stay, comfortable condo, perfectly appointed, enough room for two adults and four very picky (demanding) energetic (exhausting) teenage girls. Quick walk to pool, quick walk to beach, relaxing view of sunrise from balcony (albeit chilly but we can’t control Texas weather in March). Husband is already planning to book again for a guys fishing trip, and my girls and their friends want me to bring them back when it isn’t “so dang cold” so they can truly enjoy the pool and beach without wearing hoodies. And we will book again.

Peaceful place to enjoy Galveston!

This condo isn't the most convenient for the attractions of Galveston -- we would describe it as "peacefully removed" from the business district. Because it's away from the fray, it's quiet with minimal traffic. There is easy, quick access to the beach and plenty of room for a group or family to spread out. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the basics for a comfortable stay. The designated parking spot was tight for our larger vehicle, but we were able to park very close by in the open spaces without any problem. We visited the complex pool every day and it was a great size for everyone in our group, with plenty of seating available at any hour of day or evening. We would recommend bringing bug spray, as the mosquitos were out in full force for the second half of our stay. All in all, a great spot for a relaxing beach vacation!

Sweet condo with wonderful view

Our family enjoyed our vacation at Pointe West. The condo itself was nicely decorated with an ocean theme. It was comfortable for four adults and two small children in a two bedroom. The porch was large and faced the ocean. The beach club was definitely worth the fee. We swam in two pools, one a large pool with a good size baby pool. The other pool has a “lazy river” that was easy but stimulating to a child. We also checked out the game room which was well equipped. The office staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Great condo

Condo was great, very clean. All beds were comfy and the AC was nice and cold. The kitchen was well stocked. Only thing that really bothered us was that no one told us the restaurant and bar was closed. We weren’t planning on cooking so that really put a strain on our vacation. I wouldn’t have booked this trip if we had been told that so shame on the management company Coastal Waves for not disclosing this, but I am sure it was done on purpose!!! Will never rent from them again

Positive Excellent location & overall complex lovely Negative * Condo was not clean * Patio furniture was rotten wood. Slats kept breaking * Electricity was intermittent - plugs would work - then they wouldn't. Breakers and resets were checked to no avail. - When we called we were first told that we could move out and go home. Later we were offered another condo in complex if we wanted to move. * All smoke detectors in Condo had been removed and were in a kitchen drawer. * We purchased Beach Club wristbands but were not told that everything would be closed over the Thanksgiving weekend. It took us 3 days to get the wristbands as office was never open. * Potential for lovely condo and lovely stay - unfortunately that did not happen. As point of reference - We do not have unrealistic expectations as we regularly stay in AirBnB's . This experience was a first for us! The lack of concern for a true safety hazard was unbelievable! Hopefully no one checked in after us until the electricity was fixed!

Relaxing

I am a teacher, and after this difficult year, I REALLY needed a chance to relax. My husband will not go anywhere without our dog, (and to be truthful, I probably wouldn't either). We were welcomed with open arms. (Even though I got my dates wrong and arrived a day early!) Eddie (?) at Coastal Waves got us into our condo immediately. We got in and settled in. It had three bedrooms, although we only needed one. Our dog decided one was his and when he was bored, he just hung out there. The walk to the beach was a tiny bit long for us, but my husband is almost 70, and I am 55. Our dog loved the walkway to the beach, and I could have done without the 'rattlesnake habitat', because how the heck do they know that's their designated area??? (Joke). The beach was clean, and the first day, fairly deserted. The next few days there were young families with children and dogs, and that was fine. Nobody got out of hand or even loud. We were unable to work the televisions and there were about 6 remotes in there. We never did get it to work, even though Eddie came to show us. We discovered that unless you have a specific account with Hulu or Netflix, (which we do), you have to create a guest account that essentially continues to debit your account unless you remember to cancel. That is my one complaint. Making that available to your residents would be a plus. All in all, a wonderful trip, and I would love to buy one of the units so that I could go whenever I want to. We only live about 2 hours away.
