New Years Getaway

Spent a nice, relaxing winter week here! Loved sitting in the kitchen or living room and looking out the many windows at the gorgeous view of the lake, as well as soaking in the hot tub!

Lovely stay away from the everyday. Tasteful home with Lake Huron views. Hot tub dips while the sun sets. Cute town with lots of close hiking/walking trails.

Great location!

Nice, quaint cottage that had everything that we needed! The lake view was awesome and being so close to Bayfield, and not to far from Grand Bend and Goderich was really great! Jennifer communicated very well as the check in/check out process was very easy.

Private and quiet

Perfect getaway during a winter storm

The cottage was exactly as advertised. Jennifer was very accommodating and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were comfortable - especially given the extreme weather in the area. Zero complaints. We will book again, no question.

Really Enjoyable Stay in a Great Place!

We had a very enjoyable time in this lovely cottage! The good sized covered porch is a great place to hang out even when it’s raining. The patio furniture is super comfortable and we spent hours out there from morning coffee, through afternoon naps, to cocktail hour! After dinner, the also very comfortable living room provided for a cozy evening spent watching movies or streaming our favourite shows before bed. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well-appointed! We particularly loved that we could bring our little dog. She settled in immediately and seemed to enjoy herself puttering around the yard smelling all the smells! Thanks for a great time! We would like to come back another time!

March Break weekend

Stayed for 3 nights over March Break. The kids (6 & 7 yo) enjoyed the bonus loft room and we all enjoyed many board games. Highlights were the wildlife that was easily seen from the kitchen and living room: foxes, rabbit, ground hog and even a bald eagle. Wonderful sunsets and fun trips to local restaurants, breweries and hiking trails. Jennifer communicates regularly and clearly and everything was as described. No full privacy between the rooms (sounds carry with angled wall slats at the top of shared wall, useful for air circulation) which only was noticeable when kids were trying to fall asleep, so not a problem for us, but wouldn’t stay with another couple here. Beautiful retreat with a great view.

Quaint and beautiful little cottage

We had a great time at Sunset Serenity. Very private location nestled amongst the trees and super close to Bayfield. The cottage is nice and cottagy with all the comforts. We loved the layout and the decor, and especially the hot tub. A really nice touch on cooler days when lake swimming isn’t an option. The outdoor wood burning fireplace was our favourite feature. We had a fire going all day long! So great. The only thing we would have changed or would suggest, was a little bit of treetop trimming to reveal a bit more of those famous Lake Huron sunsets. Overall a fantastic stay and we would go back in a heartbeat!

SPACKMAN / TREPANIER VACATION

OVERALL WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR STAY AT SUNSET SERENITY COTTAGE. IT WAS PRETTY MUCH EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED. THE COMMON AND OUTDOOR SPACES WERE PERFECT. WE REALLY LOVED THE PATIO WITH FIREPLACE AND ENJOYED A FIRE EVERY EVENING. THE HOTTUB WAS GREAT AND WE LOVED THE OUTDOOR SHOWER. THE KITHEN WAS IDEAL THE BATHROOM WAS TINY BUT JUST FINE SINCE THEOUTDOOR SHOWER IS HUGE. BEDROOMS WERE OK. I PERSONALLY PREFER A LARGER BED, BUT WE KNEW WE WERE GETTING QUEEN BEDS. SO NO COMPLAINTS. WE HAD A GREAT TIME!

Another amazing stay at Sunset Serenity!

We had such a great time last year, we decided to return for another visit. The weather wasn’t as nice this year as it was last year, but we still had a great time. We went for lots of walks in between the breaks in rain and still took in all the sights around the area. We enjoyed the break from the hustle of everyday life and the tranquility of the cottage. The trees and the sound of the water crashing on the shore certainly brought a peacefulness to our days. The cottage was pristine and had all the comforts of home, with a much better view :) We are grateful that we had this time away to reconnect and we look forward to returning again soon! Jen and Lea are fabulous hosts!

Absolutely perfectly relaxing

Four of us stayed at this property for the second year in a row. We especially enjoy the outdoor covered area with wood burning fireplace and the beach deck overlooking Lake Huron. We also enjoyed visiting Cowbell Brewery in Blyth,Bayfield shops,Lambeth Museum in Grand Bend for Ontario Paints 2022 show.

Amazing Sunset

This cottage's name says it all "Sunset Serenity Shorehouse" We rented the cottage for a week and I must say that I have seen the best sunset ever. The cottage location is great with amazing view. The outside area is perfect. great sitting area and the inside is very comfy as well. I would definitely recommend.

Great Stay

The cottage is in an idyllic location and was very peaceful. It had all of the amenities we needed. Our hostess, Jennifer, was very helpful and attentive. I highly recommend dealing with Jennifer and CottageStays.

A Beautiful Cottage in a great location

The cottage is a bright and airy space with all the expected amenities. We particularly liked sitting outside in the evening in front of the outdoor fireplace. There is also a lovely deck just above the beach. We hope to come back here next year

An Unforgettable Week at Sunset Serenity Shorehouse

Myself and three friends recently returned from a wonderful week at Sunset Serenity. I am more than happy to give 5 stars; as it was everything I expected and there were no disappointments. The cottage was spacious, super-clean, and had all the amenities/supplies noted before we arrived. We enjoyed fires every night in the gorgeous stone wall fireplace while relaxing on very comfortable backyard patio furniture watching beautiful red sunsets. We plan to book another week next year as soon as we’re able to! (One helpful note; upstairs loft bedroom pretty much for younger folks due to steep stair access.)

Awesome getaway!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. It was just as advertised and everything was clean and ready for us to enjoy. The owner is wonderful to deal with and we had a very relaxing time. Looking forward to our next stay!
