Self contained studio room with private entrance and stunning sea views


Self contained studio room with lovely deck, outdoor furniture, BBQ and stunning sea views. New build (2020) with modern furnishings.
You have your own private entrance with onsite parking.
We are only a 5 minute walk to the beach and village. Please note the property is elevated so you have a bit of a climb when walking up the driveway.
The room is fitted with electric blinds for that extra bit of convenience.
Room is fitted with an Air conditioner/Heat Pump.
There is a Smart TV with free Netflix.
We provide free unlimited Fibre Wifi.
Lovely comfortable Queen size bed with all linen and bath towels provided.
Ensuite bathroom has a big shower with double shower heads.
Kitchenette is equipped with Microwave Oven, Kettle, Toaster, Bar Fridge and cutlery.
Tea, instant coffee, sugar and plunger coffee supplied but not topped up during your stay if it runs out.
There is also an outdoor shower to wash off after a day at the beach.
Drying rack to dry towels.
There is a Laundromat at the Top 10 Holiday Park which is only 5 minutes walk from the house.

Please note that the upstairs part of the house is occupied most of the time by the owner. Very quiet owners who respect their guests privacy and comfort.

Comments; Electronic blinds didn't work.Followed simple instructions, even you tubed...no joy. Rubbish bins not marked at all, ie; Recycling etc. Difficult to store and access large suitcases in bedroom. No shampoo/conditioner/ body lotion provided. Tend to expect these toiletries in top end facilities. Small bedroom space to sit in if weather is inclement and deck seating is unsuitable.

Enjoyed our stay here, so close to everything in town, our rental car was hardly used. Nicely presented property, fantastic views. Highly recommended.

Unforgettable Stay in the Bay of Islands

Perfect location, amazing views. The studio had everything we needed and was an ideal base to explore the Bay of Islands area. The centre of Russel was very easy to walk to and has a good selection of places to eat and drink. Would happily have stayed for longer . Thankyou

Everything was perfect and extremely clean. It is only a couple of minutes walk into Russell town but at night it is very quiet. And the view is just breathtaking

Great spot for exploring the bay of islands

The apartment was clean and had a fantastic view of the bay. About a five minute walk to the wharf and main street, keep in mind the drive way is quite steep. Super easy to catch a water taxi or get to meet up spot for tours. The hosts were very kind and accommodating to a last minute schedule change. Would absolutely stay again!

Loved our three night stay. The unit was extremely well appointed making the most of the fabulous views across the bay. The compromise for those views was the steep driveway but we just took the car down the street and parked up when we went out. Everywhere in Russell is easy walking distance from the property including the ferry, and a number of excellent eateries. Would definitely consider stayin again should we return to Russell.

What a magic place to stay!

We loved this gorgeous little unit, it was beautifully appointed with everything we needed, and of course phenomenal views! Our hosts were very easy to communicate with and very generous in allowing our kids to pitch a tent on the front lawn. All in all a very memorable stay and we will be back.

A Russell Dream

Once I saw this listing I knew it would be perfect for my wife and I to relax after spending NYE in Auckland. The town of Russell is full of relaxation and vibrancy all packed into one place. If exploring the beaches, the many restaurants or taking the ferry over to Paihia everything is right at hand. The view from the unit was spectacular and the bed was very comfortable and clean. I am looking forward to staying again on my next New Zealand Adventure.

Russell Studio

Steve and Yolanda have created a beautiful property in Russell, and the studio was perfect for us. It was just as I expected from the description, plus a couple of questions early on. Excellent communication from Yolanda. Our time was up all too soon and we will certainly return! Thank you Steve and Yolanda.

A little piece of heaven

The view of the bay and the town was spectacular. It was a short walk to restaurants and shopping and the water. The town of Russell was something out of a Hallmark movie. We loved the town and the stay was the best 3 days of our trip to New Zealand. I was concerned that the studio was attached to a home but we had privacy and didn't hear anything from the larger house. The room has everything you need in an accommodation (except shampoo) but really everything else.

A great little spot to go and explore an amazing part of New Zealand. Convenient to everything in Russel, with a very short walk away from the town centre.

Great views and convience

We had a great stay over a long weekend. This unit is well equipped for a couple and located walking distance from the hub of Russell. Great walking nearby to Flagstaff Hill or Tapeka Point. Highly recommend staying here.

Exceptional Studio

Absolutely stunning quality studio set above Russell township only a short walk to the harbour / cafes / ferries and places of interest. We loved the peacefulness/ the bird song / relaxing on the deck - a real highlight of our trip to Northland.

This is a wonderful apartment as a base in bay of islands. Russell is a great little town and this apartment is central but with a great view over the town and the sea. If you want to enjoy a sunrise you can lie in bed with the blinds up and it is fantastic. Highly recommend this as a place to stay

What a peach of a place! The style, the view (someone in the visitor book said 1 million dollar view....don't know which $, but that seriously undervalued it), beautifully clean. If the steep drive puts you off, just do what we did - park at the bottom and drive up! Russell itself is wonderful, calm, classy nice food options, we enjoyed fish, Thai food and pizza at Hones Garden (seriously nice folks there!). Click "book" knowing that for today at least you have won the internet
