Semi rural loft getaway on the river

Situated by the beautiful Magnetawan River,my loft is a relatively open concept 2 bedroom 1 bathroom with a large balcony overlooking the river. The loft is situated on top of a garage that is not in use, it is a private building with anyone booking a stay being the only occupants. In the summer time, the river is great for swimming, fishing or boating in. If jumping off a dock for a swim isn't for you, there is a beach 3 mins away that is well kept and shallow for the first few hundred feet as well as two boat launch ramps. At night you can enjoy having a nice fire in the firepit located right beside the house and BBQ on the provided grill. During the winter, the snowmobile trails are relatively close by and winter activities are usually going on in the area. At nighttime, stay in by the gas fireplace for warmth, watch some TV and enjoy the nice quiet away from it all feeling.

Additional side note, smoking is fine on the balcony and outside buy not allowed in the loft itself.

We stayed over Christmas...just a getaway from all the fuss! It was so nice & quiet here, a beautiful view, a warm fireplace and the bed was super comfy. Good value for the money.

The property is stunning. The dock onto the river is breath taking. Bit steep if you dont have great mobility, but was perfect for us. Beds were both queen size and comfy. The futon was not the most comfortable but perfect for lying on and enjoying the fireplace. Kitchen was fully stocked and had a drinking water spout. Host was extremely kind and responsive when needed. My partner and I had an amazing experience here and looking forward to coming again.

The location on the river was perfect as we were looking for somewhere to kayak. The place is convenient to the highway and the beach is nearby. The loft is a great size with two good size bedrooms and an open concept living space. It was good enough for our purpose, however, the stairs to the water and the dock itself could use some work and maybe a window AC as the temperature reached 85 degrees inside despite the fans that were provided.

Enjoyed our stay. Cottage was cute. Unfortunately the stairs going down to the river were treacherous, railing at the bottom would have helped immensely.

Quiet And Relaxing By The River

Had an amazing weekend here with friends, place was very clean lots of space and well kept. Owner was very friendly, provided firewood and everything we needed to have a pleasant stay. Beaches, lakes, and so many trails near by walking distance. Overall 5 stars, would come back!

Beautiful spot by the river

We had a great time! The place is perfect with everything as described. It’s about a 3 minute drive from corner store and essentials, in a very quiet neighbour hood. Wonderful dock and fire pit! Will for sure visit again!

The cottage is right beside the river and you can have best view of Fall leaf from the private deck. It is absolutely beautiful. Also the property is in clean and good condition and the owner gave the super clear instructions to check in. My whole family loves it.

Stellar Getaway

We had an excellent time! The place was clean and well furnished for anything you could need. The porch was awesome, we spent most of our time there in the sun, kinda felt like you were sitting in a treehouse! The views were incredible too. Super close to town too where we found anything we needed. Overall a wonderful experience!

Just what we were looking for. A home away from home. It had everything one could want, including comfortable seating in the living room, a full kitchen, gas fireplace for heat, which unfortunately was required because the weather did not co-operate. That meant no relaxing on the balcony, but instead we relaxed on the comfortable recliner sofa . Very quiet area. We enjoyed our three day stay very much

I enjoyed my time

It was lovely and quiet. We had everything we needed. I was concerned about the steps leading to the dock. They felt unsafe near the bottom. Railings were needed and the steps themselves were too narrow. The wifi was spotty at best. Overall we had a great time. Thank you Evelyn Williams

Beautiful, clean and cozy home-away-home

Our family have spent a relaxing and fun holiday week in this cozy and clean cottage. It is right besides the river with private stairs and deck. There is a convenient store just 2 mins away. We went to a few parks for walking. Rapid water and falls view in winter are awesome. The host is super nice, always respond to our inquires right away and offer great support. We will definately come back in the future. Highly recommended!
