Maple Valley Cabin is surrounded by 100 acres of woods in the Almaguin Highlands and affords you all of the comforts of home! This welcoming 2 bedroom, plus loft cabin is a restful retreat and is the perfect destination for families, for friends to reconnect or for romantic getaways. At Maple Valley Cabin, we know that dogs are a part of the family and they need vacations too. *We now have Starlink internet*.

Children will enjoy the outdoor play cabin structure with a sandbox and sand toys. Count the stars while roasting marshmallows around the outdoor fire pit. Enjoy nature trails through the woods for hiking, cross country skiing or snowshoeing! The kitchen, which has all new stainless steel appliances, will have you cooking to your heart's delight. Cozy up in the living room by the wood stove or relax in front of the Smart TV, while watching Netflix, Prime, Disney+, or one of the many DVD’s. Enjoy the selection of board games & outdoor games.

Maple Valley Cabin has a fantastic location! It is a short 5-10 minute drive from two child friendly beaches - Lake Bernard and Eagle Lake Narrows. The infamous Hockey Opportunity Camp is also only a short 5 minute drive away. Our cabin is one kilometre from OFSC (Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs) trails. Arrowhead Provincial Park is a wonderful day trip (approx. 35 minute drive) in all seasons - we especially enjoy the skating trail in winter months.

Things to know:
We supply the linens, including: dish cloths, bath towels, hand towels, and all of the bedding.
* Please bring your own beach towels*
There are Kcups for the Keurig (coffee, hot chocolate and tea).
Selection of oils, vinegars, herbs and spices.
Paper products are supplied - toilet paper, paper towels and napkins.
The freezer makes ice.
Water is tested regularly and is safe to drink.
*If you prefer not to drink tap water, please bring water of your choice*.
Firewood and kindling can be found beside the wood stove, as well as in the woodshed by the fire pit.

The kitchen was well equipped for cooking every size meal you might want. There was a cozy atmosphere and the wood stove enhanced the atmosphere. The teenagers loved the skiing trails and tobogganing.

Overall, our stay was absolutely amazing! Can't think of a single thing that I would change or want differently. The cabin, as well as the property, was stunning, clean, and fun, with lots of games, including a cool dartboard. The host was very quick to reply to anything we needed!

The property was beautiful and as described. The kitchen alone as a mama made me so happy and such attentiveness to detail on making sure the guests had everything we needed and making us feel welcome. Would go back a thousand times!

Wonderful place and location. Very quiet and peaceful. Owners provided lots of amenities and welcome gifts. We made good use of the fire pit. The only negative thing i could say was the lack of a/c. Given that we were there during a heatwave, fans can only do so much. Even a portable ac unit would've been a huge relief in the cabin. Other than that minor discomfort, the place was amazing. Kitchen supplies and appliances were great.Thank you so much.

Perfect family getaway

We stayed 3 nights at Maple Valley Cabin and enjoyed every minute of it. The hosts are very responsive and gave us lots of recommendations for the area. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you may need and was exceptionally clean. Highly recommend this place and we hope to come back next year.

Perfect family meetup

We had the best long weekend at Maple Valley Cabin. The dogs, babies, toddlers and adults enjoyed all of the amenities. The hosts are extremely attentive as well! We will be back for sure!

Beautiful Well Appointed Cabin

Great Property!

We loved our time at this property. Lots of things for kids to do and my dog absolutely loved running around the trails. I've never seen him so happy and exhausted :). Janet was amazing, she made sure we had everything we needed and our stay was enjoyable. I'd go back in a heartbeat

Great time in the woods, again!

This was our second stay at Maple Valley Cabin. Great place, clean, well-stocked, and Janet and Kevin are wonderful and supportive hosts!! Im sure if they were able to prevent the mosquitoes and black/deer flies they would, but with early summer in the woods, the bugs are part of the package! Another wonderful stay, thanks again!!

Wonderful!

We stayed at Maple Valley Cabin for 6 days in mid-August with our family of four and dog. The cabin, property and hosts were excellent. The interior has the slightly rustic feel of a log cabin in the woods but impeccably decorated, maintained and equipped like a high end resort. The property is very private and quiet with lots of green space for dogs to run and play! Would be great for young kids too.

LABOUR DAY WEEKEND 2023

We can't thank Janet, Kevin, Scott, Andrew, and Georgia enough for their hospitality. They provided all essentials, and all the little details made us feel right at home. Awesome Winter Retreat

The Cabin was a perfect fit for us all. Secluded on 100 acres gave us the privacy but yet the most enjoyable winter weekend getaway! The many trails in the surrounding woods kept us active and busy. We have rented from VRBO many times & must say it was one of the best equipped rental. Janet and Kevin have thought of everything! Games, fire pit, fireplace, claw foot tub, fully stocked kitchen, snowshoes… the list goes on. Thank you Janet & Kevin, We will be back!

Perfect Cabin in the woods

Janet and Kevin have thought of everything you may need and placed it perfectly in this log home. From the furry throws to the pillowy dog bed …. There is everything you need and more. All the beds are super cozy and the firewood is plentiful. Having personal trails through the woods to walk with the dogs was amazing. Love to hear back in the fall or winter to enjoy all the seasons. Honestly the best cottage stay we ever had.

Stunning and serene

Wonderful property and hosts! We enjoyed a short, but lovely stay at Maple Valley Cabin. It is well appointed and offers everything guests need to enjoy their retreat. The property is picturesque and clean. Janet et al. were responsive and welcoming - and ensured we had everything we needed for creature comforts. The rooms are comfortable, the living room is spacious, and the kitchen is properly equipped. We were not concerned with the lodging at any time. Even our pet had what he needed to be his jolly self. I would go back again and again. Thank you for the memories - and we hope to come back soon :)

Fantastic kid friendly get away

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property for our summer vacation. The 5 of us were very comfortable. The home was clean and had all the features we needed. The hosts were easy to get a hold of and really helped us plan our activities with great knowledge of the area. The cabin comes with countless games and spaces to use both indoors and out. And the outdoor play house with a slide and sand box under are in great condition and safe for age appropriate children. This kept our 3 fully entertained while we unpacked or prepared meals. Though we did several day time outings we could easily have been fully entertained without leaving the property. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this location to any family looking for a relaxing getaway.

Relaxing summer getaway!

We were beyond impressed with this vacation cabin. Not only is the home filled with every convenience, beautiful trails and scenery, and a relaxing location, but the attention to details was amazing. This was our toddlers first vacation so we wanted something easy and relaxing. This was definitely the place. The fire pit was fully stocked, there are indoor and outdoor activities and games, play area for the little one, toiletries for the adults and the toddler were offered, even a stocked condiment and spice cupboard. The host was perfect in how she explained what there was to do in the area and also being fully available if we had issues or questions. This is a vacation home that is perfect in every way. 100% would recommend this for anyone.
