Pleasant house stay near the Lake

Because of family commitments, we haven’t had a break for a few years. This was a relaxing short stay in a very pleasant environment, just down the road from a nice club. We had the opportunity to eat out each evening and explore the area during the day.

Beautiful property in a quiet location

The property is very well presented and spacious. There are lovely views to the lake from the living areas and balcony. The owner has thoughtfully provided everything one could want. The beds were comfortable and the back garden was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great with chance of greater!

A few instructions missing. Maybe just my fault, but did not register steep stairs inside (this should be flagged). Also lack of hair dyer or coffee maker (other than Expresso). Also unclear on whether ok to use kayak and how to open garage door. Otherwise, terrific!

Heaven by the lake but now with an unforeseen plus one

I am a repeat visitor to this lovely very private house, and would have expected to be informed the house is now shared with another (permanent?) resident downstairs. She’s a kindly older lady but this still significantly changes the privacy of the house - which to me, having to live cheek by jowl with my neighbours in Sydney, was one of its greatest features. It’s a big change. It made me sad also to see the balcony furniture cushions now disintegrating since my last visit. And I would recommend leaving instructions for the smart TV. It may just be me, but this is the 3rd time I could not get the set top box to work. Those things should either be easy for anyone, or leave instructions. It’s still a magic place but the magic’s a bit eroded which is such a shame

Awesome Getaway by the Lake

House was large, spacious and clean. Nice view of the lake from the front balcony and good little shopping centre in walking distance. Beds were extremely comfortable. Kitchen area was well stocked with cutlery, crockery and utensils. Outside BBQ with Entertaining area, Foxtel and Netflix were a nice bonus. Only complaint was that we were unaware the dwelling was a shared one with someone living in a separate apartment underneath and I had to chase the owner to get the access code the evening before our arrival despite being told I would get it 24hrs before arrival.

Lake side property in Gwandalan

It was a beautiful property with a fenced yards for our dogs. Love the furniture and decor. It was clean and comfortable. A good place for a short break. Unfortunately did not get to use the kayak.

Gwandalan stay

We enjoyed our stay at Gwandalan. The property was beautifully maintained, the area was quiet and relaxing and the shops a short stroll away.

Relaxing Few Days

We had a lovely time at this property. It was in a relaxing setting by the lake. The house was very well appointed, with everything you would need and very comfortable beds. A short drive to Catherine Hill Bay, a beautiful beach with a dog friendly area.

Lovely place to stay

Great property if you want to visit Gwandalan. We stayed for a wedding that was happening in town and could walk down to the water easily and enjoy rhe beautiful lake. Close to the local shops and the bowling club. The house itself was beautifully furnished and the air conditioning was very appreciated!

Perfect place to stay

Everything was great. The house was well equipped and the location was perfect, nice and quiet by the lake and having the boat ramp just up the road was a bonus.

Weekend at Gwandalan

Lovely home, clean and equipped with everything we needed. Quiet street, views of Lake Macquarie and short walk to shops and the Bowling Club. The kayaks were fun. Highly recommend
