Beautifully presented and positioned for all-day sun, this lovely property is a great base for your next Taupo escape. Walk/bike to town and the lake, or drive just 2 minutes. Marigold Cottage is warm and comfortable with a large boat shed to store your toys. There are 2 kayaks and retro cruiser bikes for you to use. The kitchen and bathroom are modern and there is new flooring throughout. The property is fully fenced and close to several playgrounds and takeaway shops. The modern, clean living area is open plan and flows onto a north-facing deck with large bbq and various outdoor furniture. The bunkroom is very spacious with lots of storage.

Taupo was lovely

The property is located a short drive from the town centre. The street can get busy at times and has ann occasional truck pass by. The kitchen is an average size and has all the cooking utensils and a pantry with a generous amount of basics. Detached laundry was great. Master bedroom is on the smaller size. Kids room with bunk beds is big.

Lovely Stay in Taupo

This property was an immaculate beautiful cottage set just up the hill from Taupo lake. We had a very nice walk to dinner and walk back. We would have very much enjoyed a lengthier stay here.

Excellent Taupo retreat

The house was super well equipped and tidy. It had everything we needed. The kitchen and BBQ had everything you'd need. Beds were comfy. There were toys and books for my kid who was stoked. And we took the bikes for a quick ride at sunset. Close to many amenities so location is also primo. Would definitely recommend. Hosts were communicable and kind.

Wonderful Cottage in great location

Excellently equipped cottage that had everything my wife and I needed (and more) as we based ourselves in Taupo for the Ironman 70.3. Jo was easy to communicate with and made sure our trip went smoothly. Lovely extra touches such as books to read and games to play, along with the well maintained bikes in the garage. Would highly recommend.

Calm and quiet environment My kids enjoyed staying there. Anyway, we couldn't enjoy outdoor activities as it was a rainy day. Overall I recommend this property for others who wants to stay especially with family.

Great Place!

We stayed here on our trip to NZ for a few days. The house was perfectly equipped and clean. The back patio sitting area was a nice bonus to catch the sun for lunch.

Marigold Cottage was perfect

Very clean and inviting cottage, and easy comms. Perfect place to base ourselves for a long weekend. Very clean, lovely decor. Having the use of the garage for storage was great for a lockable place for the bikes. The outside bath and BBQ were both used. Bikes and kayak available not that we used them but awesome option to have. Loved our stay. Will be back.

Great time in Lake Taupo

Our stay in Lake Taupo was wonderful. The Marigold Cottage was convenient for accessing the local attractions and town. Comfortable bed, bbq and spacious living room made for a fun trip. Also, the washer and dryer helped us keep up with our laundry load.

Ideal cottage

Taupo family getaway

We had the most incredible stay. The cottage is located in the perfect spot. And set up so well for families. We Enjoyed biking around town, drinking coffee while our kids played in the playgrounds, the outdoor bath was amazing! We didn’t want to leave and hope to be back again one day.
