Having a petting zoo in the backyard is an absolute dream come true for kids! One goat got out and followed us around. My daughter fell in love with the goat, and spent so much time outside! We had so much fun here!

Great Family Experience

Our family loved the generous outdoor space, the interaction with farm animals, the playground, the friendly farm dogs and the private porch and fire pit space at the back of the house.

Really is Almost Heaven!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The cabin was perfect for our family of 4. The animals are so fun and our kids enjoyed fishing and kayaking in the pond. So peaceful! Close to Mammoth Park and surrounding attractions. 10 out of 10!

Beautiful place - lives up to its name!

Almost Heaven is a beautiful, fully equipped cabin on an amazing property. So comfortable and the setting is lovely. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the property's pond and hiking trails. We absolutely loved the animals near the cabin, enjoyed being able to feed them, and the greeting from the resident pup. It would be paradise for children!

We loved our stay here at the cutest cabin. My kids loved feeding the animals daily, fishing, riding kayaks, and roasting s’mores by the fire every night. Very clean and convenient to Bowling Green and Mammoth Cave. Would stay again!

Fun place for all

We truly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean and there’s plenty to keep a 10 year old boy busy. Loved the bear theme through out the cabin! Amazing place and we hope to return one day!

Darling Cabin!

Such a darling little cabin - so well kept and everything has been thought of. Perfect spot to visit Mammoth - but have total peace and quiet. My kids loved greeting the goats, mules, donkeys and dogs in the morning. not hesitate to stay again!!

Can’t speak to the heat, but the cooling system is wonderful! The heat index was 110-degrees during our stay. The cool cabin was a welcome reprieve from the heat! Our kids loved playing with the farm animals, especially the dogs that came to visit. The cabin is clean and comfortable. The kitchen has all the utensils, pots, and pans you need if you’re eating in. It really had everything we needed for a beautiful, private home-base from which to explore the surrounding area.

Amazing getaway!

Our family absolutely LOVED our time here. The cabin was very clean and was the perfect space for our family of 5. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking and feeding the animals. It was a short drive to both Mammoth Cave National Park and Nolin State park. We hope to make it back someday!

Mammoth Cave visit

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. Unfortunately, it rained the entire time we were there so we were unable to enjoy the outdoors, but did get to go on our cave tour at Mammoth Cave. Would have loved to have spent some time on the porches or at the firepit. Our daughter did get to feed the goats one morning, and the teen boys in our group did a little night fishing in the pond. Beautiful spot.

Almost Heaven it is…

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. My older kids enjoyed sitting on the swings late at night counting the stars. My little kid loved playing on the playground and feeding the animals carrots!

Amazing stay!

This property was awesome! Our kids (9 years old and 18 months) absolutely loved the animals. The pond was great to kayak. The cabin has everything needed including visits from the 3 adorable dogs. The property is quiet and the owners are on site for any questions. This cabin is a short drive to Mammoth Cave and to the local grocery for any items needed for your stay. Really enjoyed our time here and would stay again!

Weekend Away

A great place to stay for the weekend. We loved feeding the animals next to the cabin and kayaking. We loved the dogs visiting (Lola, Charlie, and Bo). Everything you could need to cook was available. We made use of the fire pit in the back and made our dinner over it using the grill.

Wonderful home with lovely decor, comfortable beds, and most everything you would need for your stay. We enjoyed feeding the cows and goats right next to our cabin along with visiting the baby goats, sheep, and minature pony at the funny farm by the owner's house. We especially enjoyed Charlie the dog's visits and walking with us as we explored the trail behind the cabin.

Moo-tastic!

We loved our stay! Having the cows and goats right by our cabin was so much fun! The property was beautiful! It was a bit chilly for us to spend much time outside, but the outdoor areas (porches/fire pit) were very nice. An easy drive to Mammoth Cave, but away from the crowds. Owners were super friendly and helpful.

Wonderful spring break family trip - April 2023

Our family of four (kids 10 and 12) had a wonderful stay at the cabin. We enjoyed everything on the property - friendly farm animals, bonfires, kayaks. It was a short 30 minute drive to Mammoth Cave and Bowling Green. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed, and the owners are nice and friendly. Thanks for a great spring break trip!

Down on the farm

Being greeted by a goat as we got out of the car should give you an idea of the uniqueness of this property. Lots of nearby attractions but also the perfect spot to not worry about going anywhere if you have little ones. Nice mix of busy and relaxed.

Little slice of Heaven

The location was amazing. Very relaxing and beautiful area. The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. We had farm animals right outside that we enjoyed feeding and watching them interact. There was a nice fire pit area with horse shoes and lots of seating. The owners were super friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this place. Also it was close to lots of fun things to do.
