Stephanie & Dave are the new owners of The Saucy Willow Inn! It is a family operated property which is situated less than 155 kms North East of Downtown Toronto and located on the banks of Balsam Lake. Originally built in 1878, operated as a lodging house but now the main home remains on 2 beautiful acres surrounded by four cottages and 200 feet of pristine water frontage with a beach area, and two boat docks. The hosts are amazing! Our cottage was comfortable and had everything that we needed.

Spacious, has a small wading pool for young kids, kayaks and canoes to use. In spite of being in a small township, it was quiet and relaxed. Cabins are well spaced for privacy.

Loved our time there!

It's a wonderful spot, and Stephanie & Dave were lovely hosts. While the common areas were shared, it never felt crowded in any way. There was plenty of space for winding down and enjoying the Balsam Lake. Everything was clean, and we were able to have everything we needed for a family getaway.

Our experience was great. Our hosts, Stephanie and Dave were gracious and informative adding to our relaxed experience. The time taken by our hosts to make this stay a memorable one goes without saying. We would recommend this stay to others.

Easy, friendly, lakeside fun

Engaged and interested owner operators, who do their level best to ensure you have a comfortable stay. They are on a mission improving the cottages and the dock, and are happy to chat and give recommendations, and leave you to your holiday too. Fire pit out by the lake, or gas fire pit and Hudson bay blankets on rocking chair? If it's raining play a game of pool.... Or jump in the very clean water. Good fishing with the kids too. Every kid caught one. All four of them! Thanks!

Great Family Vacation!

Our family of 5 stayed in one of the cabins for a week and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The cabin was clean and equipped with all of the supplies we needed. Stephanie and Dave were amazing hosts who took the time to ensure we had everything we needed and recommend local restaurants/ businesses. They were especially great with out kids. Highly recommend staying here.

Hidden gem in Kawartha

The Saucy Inn was a perfect getaway for our family of 4 this past week. There is a small beach for little ones with warm and crystal clear water that you see the small fish swim by. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the bond fire in a relaxing setting. Stephanie and Dave are on-site and wonderful hosts. They go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and they are seconds within reach if there was anything needed. We look forward to visiting again next year.
