Creek Haven - Meredith Lodging


Upgrade your dream of staying in a real log cabin with a retreat to Creek Haven, a modern, luxury log home that offers forested privacy and fantastic amenities two miles from the beach in Neskowin. Ensconced beside two pretty creeks and backing onto the Siuslaw National Forest, Creek Haven brings the natural sounds of running water, birdsong and breeze through leaves to your stay on the coast.

A large wood deck, fire-pit and hot tub will draw you outdoors, where you may see deer, elk, eagles and other wildlife in this woodland sanctuary. Indoors, contemporary furnishings and open space invite you to gather and relax, whether lounging on the sofa watching TV, enjoying the warmth of the gas fireplace, or laughing over a meal at the dining table. A modern kitchen with stainless-steel appliances and an outdoor barbecue give you plenty of options for eating in. The bedrooms, tucked under log eaves, are spare and clean, with spa-like bathrooms on each floor.

The property its self is beautiful. Comfortable beds. The steam shower was amazing!! However The bathroom was not clean upon arrival. Adult products were left behind in the main bathroom..The hot tub was broken and never reached temperature which was super disappointing. We were told that it takes up to 48 hours to heat after we arrived but that never happened. So the hot tub was unusable. The water taste horrible so make sure to bring drinking water. Maintance guy showed up 30 mins before the end of our stay to change tv remotes. And told us the hot tub was not maintanced before we arrived.There also was two broken lamps just turned around with all of that we would still stay here again. The house is a sweet little cabin tucked in the woods with very romantic vibes.

The home was beautiful and very clean. It's very secluded and the surrounding are awesome. We had a few minor issues that could be addressed.:1. The deck is extremely slippery in the winter, we knew this but my wife actually fell one night after getting out of the hot tub. It would be nice to have matts or no slick surface path to the hot tub.2. There was only one roku remote for all 3 TVs.3. There was no remote for the Surround sound/TV in the main room.4. The checkin and checkout times are an hour off from most rentals: 4pm and 10am.Again we had a wonderful time and loved the place.

A very beautiful property and such a nice home. Lots of space and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of things to do and in a great and quiet location!

Disappointing experience for the amount we paid. The hot tub was dirty and unusable for half the trip until we found cleaning supplies and dealt with it ourselves. The management company didn’t respond until I called, then didn’t seem to understand that the entire selling point was “secluded” and “hot tub.” The well water smells and tastes horrible even filtered through the fridge. They have a t-mobile hotspot for internet, which was fine for us but not for anyone wanting to work from here. The property is beautiful and Neskowin is a sweet town. We will avoid Meredith properties in the future because of the way this experience was managed, including the 10AM checkout and a separate portal outside VRBO app.

It was our first time visiting the Oregon coast and the lovely, secluded home was as much fun as the beach! There are running/hiking trails nearby, the beds were comfy and it's the perfect dark sky environment for star gazing.

A very pleasant place, we stayed with friends and really enjoyed it. We liked the scenic road to the house. It was clean and everything was provided for comfort. In person, the house looks darker than in the photos, but that didn’t bother us.

Unfortunately the hot tub (which is one of the main features we were looking for) was green and dirty and smelly. I was told someone would come out to fix it and no one ever showed up. Dishes were dirty, there was the game of corn hole but no bean bags to go with it. There was no remote for the tv in the upstairs bedroom and no batteries in other remotes downstairs. This property is beautiful and remote but the pictures are a bit deceiving. For the price we paid, I was hoping for a better experience.

We loved our stay. The location was beautiful. The home is beautiful. I was disappointed with the cleanliness. Kitchen floors were dirty. The very large garbage can outside was filled to the top. We were forced to keep the garbage we had accumulated over our stay inside due to no room in the can. All the towels and hand towels were in the dryer. Our checkin was pushed back till 5:30 pm. Needless to say these annoyances did not ruin our stay.

Beautiful Property

Everyone should get to experience the peacefulness of this property. The view is breathtaking. You hear water coming from 2 different direction. We opened the windows at night. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes & cookware. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was plush. The steam shower was an added bonus although we could only get one of the 4 shower heads to work. The hot tub was also an added bonus but the jets didn't work well. Those 2 things were just minor things in comparison to this wonderful property. Hope to stay again.

Pictures are deceiving

The stay was ok. This was our honymoon trip and we were out of heat for 3 nights. The location of this property is amazing and secluded. The pictures on the listing are a little deceiving. Its about 15 minutes from lincoln city.

Beautiful area

Property is beautiful! I booked this cabin for a birthday weekend getaway with my closest gal pals. Upon arrival we noticed a giant sticky spot right by the front door. It was so sticky it removed socks and one of our bags got stuck there. It was late so we unpacked and got cozy. The next morning we went to cook breakfast and there was no salt. We defiantly expected to at least have salt and pepper. Most all of the pans were dirty, which wasn't a big deal, and to be expected when guests are washing the dishes. The barstools by the kitchen island had dried food in them. The couch was completely different from the pictures. It was two small grey couches which didn’t seem like enough for 6 people total. I found trash under the King bed upstairs. There was fruit left out at one of the outside tables that was rotten and covered in bugs, not sure if that was purposeful or not. Last but not least the cleaning crew showed up our 2nd day there around 10 am. Mentioned something about dog pee on the couch they needed to clean and were called for but we didn’t call anyone. On the plus side, the beds and bedding were soooo cozy. The hot tub was in a nice location with the creek near by. The views were amazing, this would be a great summer spot. I will say there’s a tiny lil bridge to cross getting onto the property. If you have a lifted or modified truck, it could be very sketchy. We made the best of our trip! The cabin is great if you’re staying in most of the weekend. Puzzles were nice

Almost Perfect!

We actually really enjoyed our stay. The house was in a great location, it was just as the pictures showed and was clean and comfortable. We were notified prior to arrival that the internet was down and they were working to fix it so we knew we may not have access when we arrived. We did find it odd that along with the usual house info/expectations/check out procedures there was also a card stating that the internet was out and they were working on it ( I guess we found it odd because it seemed to have been there for a while). Anyway, wifi was showing up but required a password and when we emailed askeing for it we got the same canned reply about it being worked on. I also included in the email that the downstairs shower wasn't working properly but that was never addressed. No worries, we got one shower head to work. Wifi was a bit of a let down since we were booked for a longer trip but we kept ourselves occupied. The property honestly was what we wanted and were looing for. It was secluded, beautiful and quiet. Loved the hot tub and the sky light in the upstairs master bedroom. Thank you for letting us stay!

Magical Log Cabin nestled in your own private forest

An easy 2 hour drive from Portland took us to Neskowin. The house was incredible and just like the photos. It’s nestled back in a private wooded area next to a river/stream and the view is just wonderful. Super clean, very comfortable beds, easy to check in, and the kitchen has whatever you’ll need to cook. Grocery stores and restaurants in Lincoln City 10-15 minutes away. The beaches in Neskowin and Lincoln City are beautiful but a short drive up the northern coast is breathtaking. This trip was everything and more! We loved coming home to soak in the hot tub with some adult bevs after a day of sightseeing. Book this house you won’t regret it one bit!
