Very well stocked kitchen. Love the MCM furniture and BC art/fossils. Lots of books and blankets. Huge windows, gorgeous view, lots of space, comfy beds, two full bathrooms. The host made excellent sight seeing recommendations too. We will be back!

Lovely location for a peaceful retreat on Galiano Island! The house is close to several beach access locations which look across the Strait towards Vancouver and, on Saturday mornings from 10am to 2 pm there is a bakery stand located at the east end of the street! We had a lovely time on the island and the house was conveniently located to easily reach many hiking trails. The house is great for two couples and has a nice layout as well.

We loved our stay at Arrow’s run! The space is even more beautiful than the photos can capture. We had everything that we needed for a relaxing and cozy stay. We particularly loved cooking in the well stocked kitchen and waking up to sunlight streaming through the windows.

The upper suite is beautiful and very comfortable with lots of windows and light with a distant and tree filled view of the ocean. Place was not completely clean but host offered 40 in compensation which was fair, The big challenge was the setting (not well described in advertisement) and behaviour of hosts. I was aiming for a quiet weekend away from chaos of my life to paint, play guitar, read, write etc. The building is situated in the middle of a family compound with parents house on one side and trailers and tent on other. The hosts spent the weekend cleaning the suite below (young son slept there during my stay) and things around the property (likely to get ready for busy summer rental period) so I felt like I had limited privacy and lots of regular banging and noise. Twice I was playing my guitar and someone was power washing right beside and I had to stop. While the host was friendly, they demonstrated a complete lack of awareness and respect for someone spending to rent a suite and wanting to enjoy peace and quiet around them and a sense of privacy. I wanted to paint and read on the nice deck but didn’t feel comfortable doing so. Likely fine for a big group who is out often doing activities and doesn’t care about peace and quiet and sense of privacy.

Sadly, I think you picked the wrong area. In my description of the suite, I mention a 1 acre wooded lot in a neighbourhood. Though there are tons of quiet days at my place, a sunny Mother’s Day is not one of them. This neighbourhood is lovely and respectful but I can’t control what my neighbours have in their yards or the noise they make in them. You’re right, if you want to sit out on a deck and play your guitar and paint in quiet reflection, you’ll have some interruptions. You needed a cabin in the woods by yourself. I’m not sure how many are for rent on Gali or the price but you might get lucky. As for me being there, that the bylaw, but I was also visiting my mother where I usually reside. Not to mention the house always needing something. The grass doesn’t cut it self, plants need watering and the house looks the way it does because I take care of it. I do those things when people are out. Over all, I’m sorry you didn’t have the experience you were looking for at our place. I don’t like that either. Maybe contact the owner before you book to avoid future confusion. All the best. C

Would stay again!

We had a lovely stay at Christa’s property! Well-appointed, clean and comfy. Location was great for getting around the island. Check in and check out was totally hassle free! Would definitely stay again.
