Enjoy this luxury suite with all the amenities of home waiting for you to relax and unwind. Enjoy a meal/glass of wine on the expansive deck, complete with stylish patio furniture, fire table, propane-heater and your own covered deck and propane BBQ. Surrounded by tall trees, flowers and natural splendours. Minutes away from the lake, famous Shawnigan Lake school, village and so many local attractions such as the famous Kinsol Trestle, wine tours, Mill Bay marina/ocean and hiking/biking trails. Backyard faces Renfrew Road which is along Shawnigan Lake and is fenced to protect your fury friend. 5 minutes from public beach access at Shawnigan Park beach located near the village in the heart of town. A Hot tub/ spa is also available for your enjoyment. Stroll the Shawnigan Village Rail Trail to Mason’s store or Mason’s beach. A 2 minute drive from Village on Shawnigan Lake Road right on Recreation Road takes you Old Mill Waterfront Park with a sandy beach and playground. West Shawnigan Lake Provincial Park is nearby and is a sanctuary for Douglas fir and also has lakeside beach access. A 5 minute drive to Kinsol Trestle for cyclists and hikers. Short drive to “Napa of the North” Cowichan Valley with 14 unique wineries making it a destination wine region. Visit the charming and picturesque seaside village of Cowichan Bay, rent kayaks at Mill Bay marina or jet skis on Shawnigan Lake.

Great location

My son was competing in a rowing regatta at the West Shawnigan park. This was the perfect location, close to the park, quiet and cozy to retreat to after the races! We also really enjoyed the daily visits from Ruby!

Great garden suite!

Lovely garden suite with beautiful deck/ backyard access. Loved the fire table and hot tub. Owners werent home during our stay so it was very private. 5 min drive to the lake & town. Lots of little gems (hikes, shops, swim spots etc) around this area . Picture is from hike about 20 min away from house, with great views overlooking Shawnigan lake!

Scared to use toilet, plugged after 3 pees. Dirty kitchen, smelly bedding, bugs, cobwebs. Dirty cups from cupboard, very dusty. We left after 1st night. Very unhappy with this property owner!!

This beautiful gem is perfectly located at Shawnigan Lake, approximately 30 min from downtown Victoria. This property comes fully equipped with a kitchen, BBQ, king size bed, patio, and a hot tub. And of course, Ruby the Doodle is an extra addition to the full suite of amenities, offering security, taste testing, and companionship. We really enjoyed staying at this property and we would recommend this home away from home to anyone! Thank you Sylvain!!!

Great location to the school and arena. Had a wonderful hot tub under the stars and loved the fireplace in the house itself.

The perfect suite!

The indoor space was so cozy and bright with lots of windows and an eclectic fireplace. The outdoor space was spacious and beautiful. We love dogs and every morning Ruby came to greet us. The weather wasn't ideal while we visited but looking forward to going back when the sun is out.

A nice quiet and comfortable stay

We enjoyed staying here! If you are looking for a nice quiet get-away in the Shawnigan Lake area, this is it. A nice big comfy bed, beautiful gas fireplace, and a big kitchen. We also liked the outdoor patio area and fenced yard. Ruby the resident doggo was especially sweet and happy to meet us. Check-in process was simple and painless😊. We'd definitely stay here again!
