Relax in this tropical getaway in Santa Barbara’s beachy Mesa neighborhood. You’ll be steps away from the Douglas Family Preserve, a hidden local favorite to walk dogs and capture the sunset. Mesa Lane Beach is just two blocks away where you can stroll along the cliffside to the beachside Boathouse Restaurant for dinner and drinks.

This attached guest home has been designed for you to feel comfortable and enjoy the scenery. With palm trees and birds of paradise throughout, you’ll be immersed in tropical vibes. The open concept living space offers a full Kitchen, Dining, and sitting area. The Bedroom features luxurious sheets and a doorway to a separate private patio. Conclude your beach walk by firing up the gas grill for dinner, opening a bottle of wine, and watching the sunset. Paradise Retreats is thrilled to offer Mesa Bliss!

Greatest thing about the place was the location - just about perfect for us - close to the Mesa Lane Steps and the Douglas Family Preserve. Also very easy to drive to those places away from the general neighborhood when we wanted to.Never met the "host," which was a management company of some sort, but never really needed to. Did not meet owners of the house to which the VRBO property was attached, but never really needed. Although there were six different ways to make coffee (always a big plus), the kitchen was underequipped for any substantive food preparation. It likely would have been fine for a shorter stay, say a long weekend, but for us at two weeks it was bit of a problem.

We enjoyed the patios, the landscaping around the house. It was close to everything with a car. The washer and dryer is shared with owner but was absolutely not a problem. Watch the step on the way around the garage to the front door. Very enjoyable week.

Beautiful spot

Our cottage in Santa Barbara was simply awesome. It was one block from the Douglas Family Preserve. The management staff was very responsive. The owners were unbelievably kind and helpful. We would be thrilled to stay there again.

Loved It

We adored this place for our three night stay. It was conveniently located and suited our needs, plus it was charming! The four star for cleanliness was only for the washer, which had a lot of dog hair in it. We enjoyed our time and would, without a doubt, sentry here again!

Property was very nice. Everything was in good condition. The unit and house did share walls which we did not expect, we thought it was a detached. Location was great.

well appointed suite close to bluff park & beach stairs

Quiet and nice suite behind a house, no views, but one block from a huge park on the bluff overlooking the ocean and 3-4 blocks from steps to the beach - all and all quite nice!

Perfect location to

We loved how close we were to SBCC so we could help our daughter move. We loved the Douglas Preserve for nightly walks and the beach access walk. Restaurants, stores, and everything we needed was conveniently located. The property was beautiful, clean, and peaceful.

Graduation vacation

Fantastic location, so close to hiking and the beach. Beautiful place for my wife & I to relax and get away from it all. We avoided ask the crowds & expenses of restaurants and used the kitchen for all our meals.
