Charming 100-Year-Old Santa Barbara Beach Bungalow

Stay in a beautifully restored 1-bedroom, 1-bath, air-conditioned, bungalow in the heart of Santa Barbara’s walkable Westside neighborhood. The large living room is open and inviting, with big cased windows that fill the space with natural light, a vintage beachy vibe, and a dedicated desk and workspace. It flows into a spacious dining room with seating for 4, perfect for meals or gathering with friends. The large bedroom features a king-size bed and big windows with natural light, while the full bathroom includes a spacious rain shower.

Just minutes on foot from local favorites like Super Cucas, Revolver Pizza, and The Tully Bar, you’ll also be a short stroll to downtown. Hop on a BCycle, with a station just a block away, to ride to the beach or explore the Funk Zone.

Located in a residential neighborhood, the bungalow is part of a duplex, so you’ll share one wall with neighbors. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am on weekdays and after 11pm on weekends, so please be respectful of the space and the community around you.

Awesome host, beautiful cozy home. Close to Downtown Santa Barbara. Lots of food options and quiet neighborhood. Make sure you bring your own iron as there isn’t one available. All around great stay! The bed was super comfortable.

It’s an adorable little bungalow and a great location, very walkable to downtown area. It is a Duplex which isn’t mentioned until three paragraphs into the description. Somehow I missed this or forgot. You share a wall with neighbors so I’m sure they heard our crying kids at 6am just as we heard them moving chairs at 11pm. Still a great little spot!

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay! The house itself was beautiful, comfortable, and exactly what I needed for my time in Santa Barbara.The only thing I would note for future guests is that the home is a duplex with a shared driveway, so you can definitely hear the neighbors at times, particularly from the back bedroom. The neighbors were very sweet, but there was quite a bit of conversation and activity that could be heard from that room.Parking was also a little inconvenient during my stay. Because the driveway is shared, I was asked to move my car, and then had to move it again early the following morning because the neighbors were hosting a birthday party. Obviously, that isn’t a reflection of the home itself, but it’s something worth keeping in mind if you’re driving and hoping to leave your car parked during your stay.Aside from that, I had a really nice experience and enjoyed the home. It’s a lovely place, and I appreciated having such a comfortable space while visiting Santa Barbara!
