Summary:

Hidden Gem is an updated classic 3 bedroom home nestled in a sunny oasis on Oceanview Road where you can relax after a day at the beach, a walk up the Mount Track or a great meal at on of many excellent local restaurants. Enjoy the outdoor shower with hot water after a day at the beach. The bright open plan living, with large bi-fold doors flows seamlessly onto the deck, perfect for those warm summer evenings. Kick off your shoes, soak up the sun and fire up the BBQ to enjoy chill kiwi living!



The Space:

This 3-bedroom Mt Maunganui holiday home with free Wi-Fi, is a modern and stylish beach base. Enjoy the well equipped kitchen, including a Nespresso coffee machine if you wish to stay in. The fresh styling is welcoming with everything you need for your cruisy getaway, including a heat pump / air-conditioning for year round comfort.



You're perfectly positioned to enjoy the simple life by the beach. Just 5 minute walk to the beach. Shops and cafes, including the fabulous Tay Street Cafe are within easy walking distance. 5-minutes drive to the main Mount shops and restaurants and a short walk to Bay Oval and Sports grounds.



Guest Access:

Due to the near impossible turning point, there is no off-street parking, but there are ample on-street parking.



The Neighborhood:

You're perfectly positioned to enjoy the simple life by the beach, with the sand and surf a 5-minute stroll away. Shops and cafes, including the fabulous Tay Street Cafe are within easy walking distance. 5-minutes drive to the main Mount shops and restaurants and a short walk to Bay Oval and Sports grounds.

House nice with a lot of rules

Overall the house is lovely and had everything we needed. The space out the back is great. It is close to The Mount and the beach. Check in and out was easy. The only drawback from our stay was the number of rules that are revealed at new levels of detail through the booking process and when you turn up at the property. They do not help one relax easily and made us a bit more critical of the property on things we would have normally written off. You can tell they have had a bad experience but haven’t yet found the right balance to communicate their misgivings. There is a bespoke star rating which is pushed it could be seen as vaguely funny but does not hit the mark. Things I wasn’t aware of when first looking at the listing that could be useful to others are; the house is down a hill and the door is at the back of the house. The no smoking rule is both inside and outside. There are some small steps into the house and a small step into the bathroom. You can not see the road from the house.

Great family bach

Impeccably clean. No ‘precious objects’ adorning the place that my kids would break. Dog friendly (my dog isn’t a jumper but the fence wouldn’t keep a younger dog in - perfect for us). Short, flat walk to the beach. Owners have thought of everything you would need - even some beach toys for kids to use while we were there. Warm outside shower. Stove could use a range hood but I can’t think of anything else I’d change. Loved it. Will be back.

Great wee place to stay

I chose this property as it had an outside area and bbq which was instantly appealing with kids. Equiped with what we needed, some additional toys and a highchair would have been great but no biggie. Would definitely come back
