Escape to the peaceful shores of North Carolina at 'It's a Shore Thing,' a coastal retreat that offers long beach days and plenty of fun in the sun! This charming cottage, located in the heart of Nags Head, offers relaxation and convenience for all ages. With 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, your family has more than enough space to relax and enjoy your vacation. Start your days off with a cup of coffee and embrace the amazing ocean views and salt air right from your private deck.

Jockey's Ridge State Park is just 528 yards from the home, making it easy to explore the tallest living sand dune on the Atlantic coast.

Once you have had your fun at the beach, come back to the house, rinse off in your outdoor shower, and take a dip in the private pool or hot tub! Complete with poolside furniture and deck furniture, you will enjoy pure relaxation at any hour of the day. Upon entering the home on the lowest level, you will find the rec room and pool table, appreciated on rainy days or when you are looking for some friendly competition.

This beautiful vacation home offers every accommodation for the whole family with each room gorgeously appointed for beauty and comfort.

Poorly maintained; unresponsive staff

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed here in August 2023. House was not properly cleaned on arrival; there was even a large pile of cigarettes on the rear balcony. Furniture was grimy, and several outdoor chairs were broken. Many flies on basement level, including bedroom. Fire detectors kept beeping, even at night, and could not be fixed by replacing batteries. It took two or three days to get a tech out to fix the problem. Would not recommend this rental; poor maintenance and poor responsiveness were a real source of friction on vacation.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Things were dirty, visible dust on tv, tv base, end tables, floors etc. No blinds on sliding doors- even tho the hooks were there, bedspreads torn and or stained, refrigerator, microwave in need of replacement, the couch was disgusting- was one total stain, we had to cover with flat sheets to be able to sit on it, old pool chairs, broken chairs on the decks... this place needed some serious TLC & new things. For the money we spent for the weekly rental- this place should’ve been in better shape & better taken care of - not worth the money

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was not cleaned properly. Even though there was a strong odor of Pine Sol, there was shattered glass in the lower-level bedroom which my daughter stepped on in bare feet, meaning it was not even vacuumed. The kitchen was poorly stocked. The clothes dryer and dishwasher need to be replaced due to age. There was water damage on the upper-level floor by the sliding glass door. The door should also be replaced. And the pool alarm - don't get me started. It should be stated in the comments, in large print, that an alarm will go off EVERY time the slider to the pool is opened. This was not a house where you could get a good nap.

Reviewer Comments: First time for me to search for beach house via phone, reserve it,etc..Shore Realty guided me through the entire process, stress free and easy! Always kept me informed/ updated , and to call anytime if had questions.When needed a maintenance person to come and check something- came very soon after called.
