Unplug at The Norland. A newly remodelled cottage just 2hrs from Toronto! 5 mins walk to a boat launch & a short drive to Coboconk and Balsam Lake. Enjoy a fire under the stars or coffee on the deck while taking in the peaceful view.

The space

Inspired by natures colour palette, the calming interior is beautifully decorated & setup for relaxation. Outside, enjoy the stars and forest landscape.

The house includes:

+ Outdoor Security Camera

Every aspect of our cottage has been remodeled to breathe new life into the home.

The home is equipped to comfortably sleep up to 6 people. We’re pretty strict on that number as the space will feel tight with more than 6 guests.

Is that a cloud you’re sleeping on? Nope, that’s just the memory foam mattress that we stock in every room!

Our cottage comes equipped with a full eat-in kitchen, stocked with utensils and cookware to make you feel at home during your stay.

Or if you need a break from cooking, take a walk to the Riverside Inn and enjoy a great meal there! You can also take a 7-minute drive to the town of Coboconk where you can choose from local eateries including burgers, pizza and much more.

At night, lounge in front of the electric fireplace or the outdoor fire pit under the stars.

Cozy Cottage in the Woods!

Loved my six day stay at the Cozy Cottage! Very cute 3 bedroom cottage with a lovely sized kitchen to cook in and living room/ office space. Stacked washer dryer makes it easy to do laundry if needed. One neighbour close by as well as other cottages nearby make you feel safe and yet the trees between cottages give you privacy. Hiking trails are only a short drive away! This was a very lovely cottage. I had a wonderful stay and would book again! Thank you David and Amy!

Quant Getaway in a Small Town

For anybody looking for a nice,quiet getaway but still with the ability to do activities in the area, this is the place. A nice quant house that is located by a restaurant, corner store and close to many trails for the hiker in you. Very clean and the owners were very responsive and welcoming.

Enjoyed our stay.

It was a great place to stay. Everything that you would need was provided. It was clean and comfortable. The hosts were very easy to communicate with if you had any questions. I would recommend staying here, we wished we were able to stay longer.

Excellent for a long stay or working remotely

This was very comfortable cottage with excellent wifi in a very friendly neighborhood. We were there for a month and I was working remotely. The owners were very responsive to our questions and resolved the few minor issues we had promptly.

Spent the week with the kids and their friends. Had a relaxing time reading and sitting by the fire. The property is in a very quiet neighbourhood. Kim and David were very responsive when I emailed them with a few questions. The cottage was very clean and comfortable.

A cozy spot in Norland, ON

Good value for the rental rate, very clean, tasteful decor, great mattresses for sleeping in all three rooms. The kitchen is well supplied with pots and pans for cooking and eating utensils.. The hosts left us a welcome bag with wine and goodies, a very nice touch. The chalet is in a residential neighbourhood, very attractive and well treed, great for walks with the children and dog. Nice little park/playground close by and boat launch on the Gull River. Centrally located for exploring the Kawartha Lakes area. Air conditioning worked very well. One small negative: there is a humidity issue in and around the chalet and, unfortunately the dehumidifier did not function well. But we would happily return another time.

Excellent Place for a getaway! :)

Lovely Weekend Getaway! This place was perfect for me and my family from out of town, the dock is about a 4 min walk from the place and had my morning coffee there, as well on the porch with comfy couch and chairs, the place was clean and had everything we need. It about a 15 min drive to Balsam Lake, which was nice, you do need to pay for parking for the day, but it’s worth it, water was clean and able to bring a potable bbq to bbq there. The hosts are amazing and very accommodating when I asked questions etc. I am looking forward in booking this cottage again next summer :) Debbie

Perfect Getaway - Look no further !!!!

Such a perfect getaway nestled in a quaint neighbourhood with a small waterfall right across the property and a nature trail to soak in the fresh positive energy. The cottage is set up in such a cozy way with all you need for your stay with fresh linen, covers, towels, fully stocked kitchen, even games! You're guaranteed to have a great time whether you cook something to enjoy indoors or you fire up the bbq to enjoy a meal out on the deck or by the fire! David and Amy really made sure that we had all we need AND MORE !! They even left us goodies to enjoy during our stay (yay!) Thank you David and Amy for hosting us! It was a pleasure staying at your lovely place. We never wanted to leave and will most definitely be back soon!
