The word “Omaru” meaning “a beautiful view” in the Aboriginal language is truly reminiscent of the peace and tranquility offered by Omaru Farms Stay. Featuring beautiful ocean views over Western Port and the Nobbies, this comfortable accommodation offers a unique farm stay experience that features unparalleled beach views, beautiful green pastures, an Olive Grove, hydroponic hot house that grows an array of veggies, a children's playground, Cafe that offers delicious meals and friendly farm animals. Located on the South west side of Phillip Island providing easy access to the Penguin Parade, Seal Rocks and the Nobbies. The property also features a farm store that offers fresh, organic, and home-grown food and produces from free-range eggs to high-grade olive oils. Enjoy delightful and pallet enhancing flavours of homemade seasonings, spices, succulent pickled vegetables, and olive oils at the Omaru Farm Store. Omaru is a must visit whilst at Phillip Island.

180 degree sunset views

Perfect accommodation for our family with three young children- from the farm animals and playground for the kids, through to the quiet and clean accommodation and fantastic sea views for the adults. It was great to be near Cowes without being in the hustle and bustle of the holiday crowds. Serenity! Property manager was good with communication at the beginning, but didn’t reply to two messages I sent via the app in the days preceding our check in.

When we arrived, the host had no idea that we booked the place, but said we are welcome to stayThe bedsheets were not clean, some with blood stains, others with hairAnts infestationNo WiFi, not phone reception (we are with Optus).Kids playground has a torn jumping trampline, dangerous for kidsDogs off the leash, barking not friendly, scared out little kidsNo recycling facilityNo washing/drying machine and limited cooking facility (no oven, few utensils), only a microwave: not suitable for longer stays.Frankly, extremely disappointed and regretting booking it there. Our saving grace was being out all day, only coming home to sleep.

We’re genuinely surprised by your review, especially considering the warm welcome you received and the complimentary breakfasts we provided—even though your booking did not include meals. All amenities and limitations, including the absence of Wi-Fi and limited mobile reception (which is common across the island and beyond our control), are clearly stated on our listing. We are a working farm, and the presence of animals—including our well-trained farm dogs—is part of the authentic rural experience we offer. A washing machine is available on the property, and we would have happily shown you had you asked. Frankly, it’s hard to understand why you chose to book if these features didn’t meet your expectations. What’s more disappointing is the state in which the accommodation was left: stained carpet we had to discard, unwashed dishes, trash left behind, and damage to property. We’ve never had such an unhygienic and disrespectful experience from guests before. We take pride in our hospitality and the honest representation of our space, and we hope future guests will appreciate the care we put into creating a welcoming, down-to-earth farm stay.

Relaxing and pleasant Stay

The Stay was very relaxing and the kids enjoyed it. Staffs are very friendly and always ready to help. We enjoyed our time and will go back there again.
