Welcome to Blue Jay Getaway, our freshly renovated and ultra cozy condo is exactly what you need for a relaxing getaway to the mountains. Sitting within steps to the Boulder Bay Park and lake access your group will sit conveniently within minutes to local ski resorts, grocery stores, marinas, and the downtown Village shops for dining and entertainment. Furnished with your vacation stay in mind you will find all that you need for a memorable vacation here at Boulder Bay.

Entering your condo you are greeted with a spacious master suite, complete with a private patio and full bath, you will love sipping your first cup of coffee in the mornings out here on the cute patio. Down the hall you will find the cozy and warm living room area, complete with a sliding glass door to the other patio deck, you will love this location. The equipped kitchen offers the chef of your group all that you need to prepare your home cooked meals, oak cabinets are stocked full with cookware and utensils while stainless appliances and a dishwasher are provided for your ultimate convenience. The dining table and breakfast bar stools offer ample sitting for your meals while the BBQ is a great way to grill up your dinner.

The guest bedroom and bathroom are located here off of the kitchen area, all are made up for your visit with warm linens, blankets, pillows, and fresh shower towels. Boulder Creek Resort offers wonderful year round amenities including a fantastic lakeside location, onsite trash removal and local transit options, plus a summertime community pool and hot tub to add to your experience. Blue Jay resort

The location was great! and the acommodations were perfect for myself and my friend, two seperate bedrooms and baths, it was very comfortable. A few things are in need of repair or replacement, but that is understandable with a vacation rental. Thank you for a great time!!

The property was perfect for our family!

The place was clean and I appreciated the supplies left by big bear vacations like dishwasher pods and sponge in the kitchen and conditioner and soap in the bathrooms. The place was perfectly located, close to big bear village and right by Boulder bay park which was fun to go in the snow with small children.

Updated unit

Newly updated unit. Overall a good stay as unit is close to the town center, clean, and newly renovated. Minor cons: there are limited supplies in the apartment such as dishwashing detergent, laundry detergents, etc. Remember to ask for those when you check in at the main office. Also, very thin pillows. BRING YOUR OWN PILLOWS if you want a good night sleep.

Family getaway

The location is very good. Super close to the lake. The apartment is very modern and was clean. We brought the mildew smell and the loose floor vent cover to the attention of the property manager. The property has plenty of plates and cutlery but could use a cutting board and oven mitt.

Clean, Quiet, Spacious, Modern, Downstairs Unit Condo

We've rented at least a handful of places in Big Bear, all houses, and this condo was not perfect but it was by far the cleanest and the nicest place we've ever stayed in. We appreciated the updated style and theme. It was nice to finally stay in something we felt comfortable and excited to be in. Extra bedding, linens and toiletries were provided along with one use packet for dishwasher and laundry. Keurig coffee maker was provided, just bring your pods. We were concerned about no a/c as we are a/c people but it wasn't an issue whatsoever, cools down plenty in the evenings and the unit was never hot or too warm. In fact, we did turn on the heater in the mornings to take the chill out of air (65 degrees inside). Bunk bed is a twin over full with a slant ladder, no other furniture in the bedroom and the luggage stand was broken. I'd be nice if they added a chair or bench. Same in master, just a small side table. Wood floors were not very clean so bring your slippers! The balcony, which is a couple feet from the ground, hasn't been cleaned or swept in a very long time and the screen door was broken so we didn't utilize the bbq out there but had it been clean and clear of dirt and spiderwebs we might have. Overall we'd definitely stay here again and I couldn't ever say the same for any of the other rentals.

Newly remodeled unit

This unit was perfect for our family getaway. Great layout, spacious, comfy beds, lovely fireplace and easy location. Would like to see more kitchen items. Need mixing bowls, measuring spoons, measuring cups and bakeware. Could not find the tv remote for bedroom tv in master. Everything in this unit is new and they did a great job on the remodel. Loved our stay even without the snow we wanted.

No Early Arrival/Late Departure During Peak Seasons or Holidays.

There is No Street Parking Allowed in Big Bear- Make Every Attempt to Get Cars Off the Street for Snowplows. November thru April the law requires snow chains in your cars.

Pet Policy-Pet Friendly Homes Only-$40/Pet/Night
Pets must be acknowledged and may not be left unattended in the home. Owners must clean up after pets; subject to added cleaning fees for violations.

All homes include clean linens, and fresh bath towels for the occupancy. A kitchen with basic cookware and small starter amount of dish soap, toilet paper, and trash bags will be supplied. Paper towels, coffee filters/coffee, specialty appliances, nor condiments/spices/oils are supplied.

No Pay-Per-View Ordering in any homes.

No refunds/credits for cancellations or trip interruptions due to acts of nature, (especially snow, fire, power outages) weather, road conditions, mechanical or electrical failures, spa malfunctions, or other equipment factors beyond our control.

This is a forested mountain community home to critters- animals or insects you may encounter are spiders, moths, flies, squirrels, gophers, bears, coyotes, burro, bear, bats, etc. Our team inspects prior to arrival but cannot guarantee the home will be free of these forest critters.

We reserve the right to offer a comparable property or issue a full refund if circumstances arise that are beyond our control and your property is made unavailable for any reason.
