After parking, you wander down the graveled path to the cabin, enveloped by the calming shade and tranquility of this secluded retreat. As you open the door, the sense of escape unfolds, drawn to the stunning canyon view from the windows. Opening the back door, you sigh. The cushioned gliders, perfectly positioned, offer a prime vantage point to fully appreciate the breathtaking deep canyon before you. After settling in and relaxing in this 400 sq ft cabin, you notice the tiled shower in the private bath, the pillow-top Queen Bed and more. As you explore the cabin, you see the local breakfast ingredients then think about making a simple dinner, since you find everything, you need is handy. As darkness falls, you anticipate the morning’s light and being serenaded by the birds while savoring your locally roasted coffee or tea in the comfy gliders.

Amazing getaway

We loved our time at our cabin in the woods! Carl was really thoughtful while we were coming in, making sure we had eaten and so that we could find the place ok. Very pet-friendly and great breakfast! We also loved feeding snacks to the cow, Stoney.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

When we were looking to change the direction and stress of the city life, we started looking coast to coast for a turn-key property. Rhonda did not want snow, I did not want 120 degree weather. When we first set foot on the property and experienced the view from our house, we were pretty much sold! It was larger than what we were looking for, we were looking for a 4-5 unit property and Walnut Canyon Cabins was an established 7 cabin property. With the spectacular view of the canyon from 5 cabins and two cabins with star gazing rooftop decks we know this property was special and we wanted it!

We are secluded, but close enough to enjoy most all of what we like to do, we just travel to enjoy what is not here. We have kept the cabins off the grid for the purpose of allowing folks to slow down, notice the Painted Buntings and deer, the Armadillos and other wild life that grace our place all the time.

The Texas Wine trail is a short distance away with every style of wine you can imagine! We have Bourbon Distilleries, Breweries, museums and more!

We have free range chickens that run the property and young cows that love to be fed cow treats from your hands. The treats are provided! We also supply corn for deer to be thrown out of the cabin for the deer that live in the area and are our constant guests! Breakfast items of Farm fresh eggs, locally smoked Canadian bacon, locally roasted coffee, biscuit dough and more that is stocked in your cabin for you to prepare and enjoy from the leisure of your cabin while enjoying the breath-taking view from the deck. We are happy to change items out to accommodate dietary preferences, IE Gluten free, vegetarian, Vegan etc.

The Woods Cabin is decorated with original artwork from a Houston Artist and is available for purchase to take as a souvenir!
