Kokomo by the Beach

We are so excited to welcome you to our very recently renovated oasis by beautiful Toogoom Beach. Positioned in a quiet cul-de-sac directly opposite a beach path to Toogoom's best swimming hole and fishing spot and just a hop, skip and a jump from local cafes. Catch the coastal breezes on the large deck or enjoy a cold beverage in the home's quirky Beach Bar with your family and friends. Your pets are welcome too (outside only), and there is plenty of room to store your boat.

Air-conditioning is now available upstairs.

We only accept bookings from the age of 25 and up.

Highly recommend. Very welcoming host, perfect location (close to The Salty's cafe), house has ample space, really well suited and catered well for our group of 10. Will be staying again.

We had a great vacation, it’s setup for large groups like ours and there was a big fenced yard for our dog. Having a few different lounge and outdoor spaces works really well for large groups and families. Well appointed and beautiful layout right on the water.

Misinformation about the property

We stayed for 4 nights 11 persons, when i booked the house it says it suit 13 peoples and has 5 bedrooms, there is only sleeping for 10, they take 2 old and uncomfortable futons as bed, nit suitable for an adult as it is small and no usable to sleep. This was very disappointed as i came with my family from France and 2 big adults had to sleep on the sofas, if you want to advertise for a 5 bedrooms make sure you have 5 bedrooms or at least sofa bed suitable for adults.

Cosy beach home

I wanted a week away from Brisbane with the kids without the hussle & bustle of Noosa and other big centres on the Sunny Coast. In ‘Kokoma by the Beach’ at Toogoom I found exactly what we were looking for - a comfy beach seasider fully equipped, clean as a button and really comfy beds. A great spot for fishing and for the kids to play in the sand - all just a minute walk away. A lovely stay so thank you.

Nice quirky humble home

Unfortunately rained the entire time for us so we couldn’t utilise to close access to the water (it’s a stones throw literally! Plenty of cosy comfy beds! Loved all the staples and treats left for us! Not far out of town for us but if you’re wanting a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle the I highly recommend

Christmas holiday

We stayed here over the xmas break and first appearance was 3 weeks of unmowed lawn front and back. Inside the house downstairs looked presentable but one of the lounges was held up with a child’s step & a brick. The fly screen door to the side patio didn’t work properly and was half torn off, so we had to keep that door permanently shut from mosquitoes. The patio floods when it rains and the septic stinks. The bed downstairs is broken and was unable to be slept in and the toilet seat in that room was also broken. No air conditioning at all downstairs and no door to separate upstairs from down stairs to hold any air conditioning in. It was cooler outside then inside. Hot box. we had to buy 2 portable air conditioners at $1000 to cool the house. No bedrooms at all had aircon & the ceiling fans only work on low for some reason, all the windows upstairs had no screens & unable to leave them open due to a large amount of wasp nests. We paid from 23rd of Dec to 30th Dec & were told we were supposed to leave on the 29th just might consider looking at your bookings. A local man came to mow the lawn the day before we were leaving. Non slip mats recommend on those floors. Slip hazard. This house could be a really nice beach house if it was properly maintained and a bit of money put into it such as air conditioning in all rooms.the location is great, small stroll to the beach daily. We were all looking forward to this holiday but unfortunately were very disappointed.

Great young children location.

Awesome position so close to the beach. Home layout great for the extended family, the ten of us didn’t feel cramped at all. We will consider this house again for our annual family gathering.

Fabulous beach house

This is a great house with lots of living areas and a good flow. We loved the beach house feel and space for 10 adults over a few nights. It had everything we needed and the host was great and super flexible with booking details. It's a short walk to the beach, and not far from coffee shops. A real retreat!

Flexible oasis

Lovely well thought out home. Can easily accommodate mulitple families and still not be under each others feet. Quiest location close to the beach and only 15 minutes to Hervey Bay. We all loved the showers and there was plenty of nice touches. Would stay again.

Great stay

Perfect ending to a fundraising trip

We had just finished a hectic fundraising trip where the boys rode their jet skis from Newcastle to Hervey Bay to raise money for Movember. The house was the perfect place to unwind for a few days and celebrate the success. Would definitely stay there again!

Exceptional property

We arrived late on our first day and the house was spectacular. Balcony set up is great with the swinging chair (my favourite). We saw Frank the pug (not sure of the dogs real name but he looks like Frank from Men in Black lol) every morning wandering around whilst we had our breakfast on the deck. Two separate lounges where great. We had Bathurst on one and Netflix on the other. We had 6 adults and 1 teen. Weather was overcast for most of our stay but on the morning of our departure the sun came out and the beach at the end of the street was spectacular. Definitely hope to be back again.

A beautiful quiet escape

The property was perfect for 4 adults and 6 children. Everyone had their own space. Short walk to beach and amazing sunsets.
