Bit disappointed

A little false advertising, only the interior photographed, looked like a two bedroom, exterior in very bad shape. Heater noton, was freezing!. However we made the mostof it andwere relatively comfortable. apartment

As advertised and Julie was very helpful. Central location and yet quiet, with good parking. Floor has a slight downward slope that felt a bit strange to start with but easily adapted to (not a problem, just felt weird to start with). Everything clear and tidy, and even milk in the fridge on arrival - thanks Julie

Based on the reviews I was worried about the property however these were unfounded. Communication was quick, there might be marks on skirting boards/walls but the property was clean and well equipped, lots of space, the host provides extra towels, tea towels, etc, the bed is fantastic and the host let us check in early. Depending on your love for walking the property is on a hill and a bit of a walk to town. Make your own choice - you may be searching Wotif but this is a vrbo property that ends up charging in US dollars and we didn’t realise - possibly our error. Ends up costing you more plus the additional fees that are added on. Concerning as I believe it is an NZ host. The host also missed some tax change and asked us to split the tax. We paid because we didn’t want to risk finding accommodation closer to our travel dates. Whilst I have moral concerns I cannot fault the hosting skills and property.

Lovely stay

Clean and tidy. Everything provided. Compact yet plenty of room. Simple access, nice and private even though adjoined. Walking distance to town. Recommended.

We stayed 8 nights in the appartement. Positive: - Well located - Large bathroom - Parking in front of appartement Negative: - Cleanliness of the kitchen - Dirty dishes in the kitchen cabinet - Dirty water left in one of the bowls which was disgusting - We spent half day to clean All dishes and the kitchen... - Dirty kitchen cabinet which was full of leftovers from the previous visitors - Dust bunnies under the couch which is really unfortunate especially when travelling with a crawling baby - Appartement was quiet dark In conclusion, we do not recommend the appartement and would not book it again due to the lack of hygiene.

Checkin debacle

I had confirmed with owner that a 9-10pm checkin would be acceptable. She provided the door code, but it was incorrect. I spent a Good 1 1/2 hours trying repeatedly to enter the code with security lights flashing on and off then tried the bookabach afterhours to get help. Couldn't get past the security as I couldn't remember my password and the alternate was to access a code via email then enter it, but this process cut my link with bookabach. In desperation I rang friend back home who located an international 0800 number for the company. A person with a strong accent answered and after much repetition and misunderstanding they finally undertook to contact owner. Owner arrived with the correct code. Little in way of apology for distress I had experienced. The unit was clean, centrally located and recently renovated. I wouldn't stay again after the door code experience.

Perfect solution for visiting Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula

The flat is spacious, clean and well organized. The description is very accurate. It is reasonably close to the centre of Dunedin and has a private parking spot. It easily accommodates 4 people. Highly recommended

Nice on Manor

Warm & comfortable with lovely interior design. Quirky uneven floor that’s not really an issue. More suited to dining out as provided with Microwave, Kettle, Toaster, ideal for breakfast. Good location and easy parking. Would definitely recommend.
