Great mini vacation! House was nice and very clean. Enjoyed the bay view. Beds were very comfortable. Liked the fenced backyard for our pup. It was too hot and humid to eat in the screened porch. Could use a small kitchen table.

Very nicely put together home - clean as can be - fully furnished. We enjoyed and would come back.One note: with the amount we paid, I do not understand why we had to strip beds, turn on dishwasher and take out trash ??

We stayed in this gorgeous property for the girls “getting ready” for my wedding. It was spacious and bright with fantastic proximity to the venue and waterfront.

We loved being just above the bustle of the core of North Beach, and a small park across from the house was perfect for bird and boat watching. The house was well stocked with cooking and baking ware and the front porch had a great view of the water.

North Beach Getaway

We had a wonderful 5 day stay. The home was clean, comfy, and spacious for my husband and I and our dog. Serene views of the bay from the enclosed front porch were very lovely. The neighborhood was clean, nice, and quiet. We enjoyed our time here and would love to stay here again.

Great Cottage

Super cute! Decorated so nice! Huge back yard! Two useable covered porches. You can definitely see the Bay while sitting on the porch drinking your coffee.

Great place for a family!

We all truly enjoyed this cottage. The three rooms were plenty big for the family and the back screened patio with pool/ping-pong table was a nice respite from our busy wedding schedule. Definitely recommend this and would return again if we get the chance.

Loved our stay at Rose Haven

We had a wonderful week long stay at this house. Looked just like the pictures, proximity to the ocean was wonderful (we walked down to the water every night with our son and dog) and a quick 5 minutes drive into North Beach, which had a beautiful, very kid friendly beach, a good grocery store, coffee shop, ice cream shop, and a range of restaurants. The house was very dog friendly - a couple dog beds, a bunch of bowls and a very secure back yard. House also worked well with our toddler, the small office room was perfect for him. Just a quick flag, the only table to eat on was the covered pool table on the screened in porch. Not an issue for us as it was summer and we loved eating outside every night, but could be less comfortable when it's chillier out. We will definitely stay in the house again on our next visit to North Beach!

Clean, Comfortable Beds, Great View

The owners have thought of everything guests may need for a comfortable stay! The front and back porches were wonderful places to relax and enjoy being together. Kitchen had excellent pots, pans and dishes - nothing rusted or broken like some rentals. Spices, coffee and tea on hand were a nice bonus. The desk and dual monitors made it easy to get work done when we needed to - excellent office set up. The most dog friendly place we’ve stayed. There were no breakable decorations on tables that wagging tails can knock over. Dog beds, bowls, and waste bags were already there. Yard with a privacy fence made it easy for our dog to adjust to a new place. Short walk to the beach and the market made this a perfect place for all of us. This has the charm of an old beach town cottage with all the modern comforts of a lovely home.

Wonderful Haven

My kind of owners! There is thoughtfulness in every detail at this modernized vintage home. We appreciated the cleanliness of this home very much! Super comfortable beds, bed jets (wow! never knew this existed-life changing!) Lovely taste level in decor, supplies for everything we needed, (more provisions here than many other places we’ve stayed in) Front sun room perfectly relaxing while looking at the Chesapeake, great fenced in yard, etc. Dinners were out, which makes for a true vacation, right? Our popcorn and movie nights were fine without an inside table. We’d LOVE to return in better weather, to enjoy the huge screened in porch, use the fire pit, grill & kayaks. We felt right at home, thank you for everything!

Pets allowed much appreciated

This is a sweet house. We enjoyed the layout, the size & the fantastic screened-in porch. We loved the idea of the back yard better than the function. With small dogs & curious dogs, there were a lot of areas where dogs could get under the shed & the house & would be complicated getting them out, if they weren't ready to get out, which happens often with dogs. This is easily fixed. Loved the ease of coming & going from the location to get on the road to see stuff. The neighborhood was a bit noisy, too close for dogs not to see/react; when on walks, & to/from the car, dogs behind chain link fences barked all the time. I did not love having to strip the beds/gather all linens and centralize them on our day of departure. I think the rate is substantial enough that it should include that to be done by the cleaning crew. Overall, we very much enjoyed this rental. Nice location, cute town, well located to see all of the interesting & pretty of this coastal area, good food opportunities. It's nicely decorated, well-stocked. One note: I would switch (and we did) the two chairs on the 4-season porch with the ones in the living room. The bars we assumed were to raise and lower the seats were dangerously close to dog eyes & other dog parts. Thanks so much for your dog-friendly rental! It was very clean, very nicely set-up for the canine visitors. All of us found the sleeping very restful. If we head back to the area, we would certainly seek out this rental again.

Quiet Cottage Near the Bay

The house was clean, quiet and had a nice view of the water from the enclosed front porch. However, I would not say it is a waterfront property, because there is another house and a road between the cottage and the water. We stayed in the upstairs bedroom and the bed was large and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped although I could have used some small pots and some pot holders. The best features of the property were the front and back porches. The front porch was cozy and had a nice view of the water. The back porch was large, screened and had a large table that could serve as a pool table or ping pong table. There were a few things that could improve the property. First, there is no kitchen table - not even a little one where you could sit and have coffee in the morning. Meals had to be eaten on the table on the back porch, which is not heated. It was usually too cold in the morning and evening to comfortably have a meal (we were there in Oct). Second, there is no welcoming/instruction book in the house. There are six remotes and you have to try to figure out what they are for and how they work. When we couldn't connect to wifi using the QR code in the kitchen, we called the help line and they didn't even know what the wifi network name was. Third, the top of the stairs is a hazard because there is no railing on one side and the railing on the other side is very loose. It would be very easy to fall down these stairs at night.

Great decision for the wedding

Family wedding nearby and no local hotels. That prompted the week long stay at Rose Haven. It was a great decision. Checked in Monday to a VERY clean house. Everything you might need is there. Murphy Bed wasn't set up/missing sheets. A call to the property contact resolved that easily - very pleasant woman. We were looking for a quiet, low-key experience from our busy lives. It's a 2-min walk to the local park overlooking the bay. We hung out there each day reading and talking to locals launching their canoes, kayaks or Paddle boards. Everyone was friendly. And bonus was that sailing camp was taking place nearby so we heard the fun/laughter of the kids learning to sail. Short drive to North Beach boardwalk and restaurants there. The front porch was our highlight - very relaxing setting and you could see the bay from there. The only thing to consider is that the eating area is the (very nice) back porch with no A/C or heat. We managed fine but in extreme weather, you might need to adjust. We've done many VRBOs and this delivered exactly as advertised (and did I mention clean!)

Great Location

We had a wonderful stay visiting family located in Prince Frederick. Well stocked and nicely furnished home with a view of the bay. North Beach and Chesapeake Beach offer shopping and eateries. Would recommend to friends and would stay again. Thanks!
