Our family business, Norberts Good Food & Selwood Green Farm has enjoyed a local following for over 35 years here in the Maritimes. When we're not working our gardens and farmers markets we escape to our other favorite part of Nova Scotia, the Rissers Beach Provincial Park area of the South Shore.

We look forward to developing this new property of ours with visions of herb gardens, vegetables, small vineyard...a healing retreat for farmers, artists, writers, families, nature lovers and of course..beach lovers!(-:

Located in the heart of Nova Scotia's Ocean Playground.
If you love the beaches and your privacy too it doesn't get better than this. Our 5 acre nature retreat is surrounded by forest and sweetened with the presence of an abundance of wildlife right outside the living room window.
Walk 5-10 minutes to the series of small beaches of Green Bay. Or walk 30 minutes/10 minute bike ride to Sperry's Beach. Sperry's beach is perfect for families with little children. Rissers Beach Provincial Park is only 5 minute drive away. We think it's the most beautiful beach area in all of Nova Scotia!
This property is new to us and we are still putting finishing touches on it. We will continue to update photos as small changes are made.
There will be new beds and linens and we are having custom made cushioned patio furniture added to the large outer deck.

-Solitude and privacy amongst the surrounding forest. Enjoy the wildlife! Deer regularly come grazing through the property, hummingbirds and friends come to feeders outside nature gazing window.

-Watch the ocean over the tree tops with your morning coffee from our hilltop perch.

-Property is located on a quiet dead end dirt road, so is ideal for safe walking and biking.
Safe for kids to bike around on their own.
Walk to the closest beaches of Green Bay in 5-10minutes.
Walk 30 minutes or bike 5-10 minutes to Sperry's Beach which is very family friendly with shallow warm waters for swimming and the bay for paddle boarding and kayaking etc.
Drive 5 minutes to Rissers Beach. It's all here. Green Bay is wonderful!

LaHave Bakery for breakfast/lunch and locally produced groceries
RoseBay General Store & Cafe for German Schnitzel!
Osprey's Nest has a pub/restaurant with live music.
And it's a cottagers tradition to walk down along the ocean to the Macleods Canteen for fish n chips or ice cream in the evenings. This is a 10 minute walk from our cottage.

-We recommend Swell Time for paddle board rental or surfing lessons. He's great with kids!

-Cape LaHave Adventures offers guided kayaking trips to the local islands. Highly recommend his trip to Big LaHave Island.
Or kayak rentals if you're feeling independent.
