Iconic Cabin on Lighthouse Route

This fully renovated cozy 1 bedroom cabin in Bayport, is 8 minutes from Lunenburg, close to Rose Bay, Riverport, Sand Dollar Beach, Hirtle's Beach, the Lahave Ferry and the 7 km of hiking trails in the 350 acres of reclaimed Acadian Forest at the Indian Path Commons and many other points of interest. With a large deck facing south and 2 acres of woods, it's a lovely place to enjoy the last of the summer sun.
Then get cozy with a good movie in front of the electric fireplace and breakfast on sweetbread and coffee or tea. The kitchen is fully equipped if you care to eat in or take advantage of the great food at Rose Bay General Store, Lahave Bakery or any of the many fine restaurants in Lunenburg and Mahone Bay.

Home away from home

Had a super comfortable stay. Kate had thought of everything you might need when away from home. Accommodation was better than we expected and all her suggestions of places to eat and visit were terrific. It was exactly what we were looking for.

Cottage was so comfortable a perfect home away from home. Kate thought of every detail both in design and practical aspects. The location is great. Our first hike Indian Path was just up the road from the cottage. Beautiful easy hike along a babbling brook. Gaff Trail was a must do too tho a bit more of an accomplishment lol. Lunenburg is very close enjoyable day & evening. The local Market & Bistro is a great place to eat just down the road. All 4 nights we looked forward to returning to Kate’s. If all our guests were like Wanda, we would have an easy life! The cabin was left spotless - dishes were washed, bed was stripped and even the laundry had been started. Wanda communicated very well and I hope someday she will visit again - a visit we will certainly look forward to. Thank you Wanda! :)

Perfect host

Clean, well laid out, quiet, well supplied,Provided unexpected continental breakfast. Bottle of wine was also a much appreciated treat. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will return on another visit. Also... let us enter early and very quick to respond.

Absolutely fantastic

Kate and Randall, were absolutely amazing. Long day of driving to come in to the most comfy place with all the fine details, like a bottle of wine,fresh homemade bakery bread, fruit and cherry jam. I will be definitely coming back, close to all the little pretty towns in the area, beaches. Love waking up to look out the kitchen window to see water.

If all our guests are like Carrie, we are going to have an easy time of it. She left the cabin immaculate after a 5 day stay, even doing the laundry before she left. She was a wonderful guest and I look forward to welcoming her back one day.
