The perfect get away.

We were happily surprised at the size and cleanliness of this cabin in the woods. The kitchen was fully supplied with dishes and utensils. The bedrooms we're very cozy with extra pillows and linen. The bathrooms were clean and had plenty of towels. We all felt very comfortable and had a wonderful time.

This is our 3rd visit to this property and it is truly one of our favorite vacation destinations! The property is beautiful and clean and has everything you could want or need in a vacation rental. We visited with family and rented two houses on the property this stay and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Highly recommend!!!

Love this cabin

My two sisters and I rented for nearly a week. The cabin was comfortable and well appointed with plenty of space. We really enjoyed the breath-taking landscaping with the mist in the morning. This is my third stay at one of the Settler's Mountain properties in a little over a year. Five Star each time.

The cabin and property were clean and inviting and we enjoyed our stay. This was the first time we stayed this late in the season and really enjoyed the peace and quiet.(usually stay in October).

So wonderful to come back to this lovely spot. The Pinery on Settlers Mountain is warm and welcoming. Kitchen is not fancy, but very sufficient. Love this place!

Lovely time

It is like coming home to our home away from home. Love this place. We have lost count of how many years we have returned to Settlers Mountain. We have stayed in 5 of their houses - all, but the big one on top of the mountain. Always clean. check-in is easy. check out is easy. any minor issues we might have are quickly and easily resolved.

Excellent location.

The property was very convenient to Bryson City, Cherokee and Harrahs Casino. Cabin was clean with a super porch and rocking chairs. Drive up was little steep but we made it fine in a mini van. It is called Settlers Mountain with only 6 cabins on this mountain

This home was perfectly nestled in the woods, away from the hustle of town. Yet, minutes from downtown. Plenty of room for multiple families. We had 5 adults and 2 toddlers with so much room for space but cozy for quality family time. Also not far from Cherokee, spent time there too while enjoying our stay. PS - Fantastic for families taking the kids on the Polar Express, it's minutes away and you can turn it into a mini getaway like we did. It was SO relaxing.

Fantastic Cabin

This is not our first trip to Settler's Mountain and hopefully, will not be our last! This cabin is perfect for a family......just wish the King bed downstairs was upstairs. It is rustic and comfortable, excellent access for the mountains and conveniently located to downtown Bryson City. Kevin was an excellent host...........had a small issue with WiFi which he resolved quickly. Going back in a couple of months and will be staying at Viewpoint where we have stayed before. I cannot say enough about how well the entire community is groomed and certainly felt safe.

Gorgeous setting; Pinery 5 shows its age

Settler's Mountain is in a gorgeous setting and well located. The outside appointments to Pinery 5 are lovely. The front porch is a great place to sit, and there are trails on the property. The deck off the upstairs bedroom was a plus. We did not use the firepit but would have had we been there longer. The cabin is dated and there were a number of maintenance items that needed attention, mostly in the kitchen. We told the owner about these. The major detractor was the musty smell. Yes, the cabin is old and located in a damp area, but till we found the thermostat and turned the air conditioner down to 66 degrees, the smell was difficult to tolerate. A good air purifier and dehumidifier would help out with this problem a lot. The price was right but I am not sure I would stay in this cabin in the future. Luckily we did not have to spend much time inside.

Nice Location

Cabin was at a nice location, close to Bryson city, do note the road leading to the cabin is a bit steep, but nothing to worry about. There was a weird smell when we entered the cabin, There was no Internet for all 3 days of our stay and contacting property manager had no help and no prompt action.

Peaceful Mountain Getaway!

Absolutely loved the property and the home. Beautiful location with lots to do with the family in easy driving distance. We made Smores, played family games, relaxed on the porch with the hummingbirds and had a wonderful, rejuvenating time that was desperately needed. Host was wonderful and thoughtful, even asking if my motorcycle needed a separate shelter. Many thanks for sharing your home!

Our cabin was perfect, the location was perfect. Everything about our stay was perfect! First cabin we’ve stayed in that actually felt like our own home. So very cozy and peaceful! We will definitely be back!
