We had the best weekend at this Canton cabin, the only issue is it wasn’t long enough! It’s a beautiful cabin and plot of land. The house is exactly as it is shown, if not better. The view of the Smokey mountains is beautiful. There is absolutely everything you need to cook with, make coffee, even travel toiletries. It was clean and beds were well made. There were extra blankets and pillows. The mud room with laundry was a huge bonus to come in and out of with our kids and dog. Very convenient. Super relaxing back porch that is covered. The horse was very nice and let my daughter brush her. Most importantly, though, is the host is SUPER responsive and left a personalized welcome for us with a binder about the house and surrounding areas. She was in communication with me prior to renting to answer questions. She left little signs saying exactly what linens are laundered, which for me helps me relax. She also left a note about expectations around pets which I hope everyone follows as it was really nice to have our pup with us. Really really well thought out rental and we can’t wait to spend longer time here. Thanks!!!

Beautiful Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, cozy, well appointed cabin. The house was very clean and the owner provided many extras. There were mountain and meadow views all around. We highly recommend this cabin for anyone visiting the Canton/Waynesville area.

Excellent property

Everything about this property was a advertised. We enjoyed daily interactions with Rio. The location was easy to access. It was exceptionally clean, and the cabin had a great layout. The owners welcome basket was a great touch. The only criticism is the bed in the master was harder than we prefer.

This Has It All!

We loved EVERYTHING about our stay!! The moment we turned on the long driveway and seeing the view, it felt like home away from home. Just beautiful and serene. This vibe carried inside as well. We were welcomed with a hand written personalized note with a goodie basket and immediately felt home. So many thoughtful touches throughout. You're everyday use items are well stocked along with many others. The internet is warp speed. Comforatble furniture and cozy finishes were impossible to NOT relax in. Outside was our favorite spot though. The views from either deck are worth spending time at - though the back deck was our favorite. We saw deer every evening. The sounds of nature are not drowned out by traffic noises. That was one of the reasons we chose this home. Close to things but not too close. We were fortunate to see Rio grazing in the fields a few times and even got to feed her some apples and carrots, which were provided for us to give her, by the homeowner. This was just one of the thoughtful touches as mentioned above. Our dogs LOVED the vast green space to open up the legs and get zoomies and when done took many fresh air naps on the breezeway. Melissa was an exceptional hostess and made us feel like family. We will absoultely return without a doubt!!

Excellent Vacation!

House is exactly as depicted in description and photos - very spacious inside and out. We thoroughly enjoyed the back patio area and the dogs had a great time running in the back yard. Their horse, Rio, is a doll and loves to visit and get her apple and carrots in the evenings. Very close to Canton, Waynesville, and Maggie Valley areas, so day trips are a breeze. Melissa is a great host - there were thoughtful baskets in the bathrooms of things you never seem to remember, and the goodie basket in the kitchen upon arrival was awesome. We had a fabulous time!

Relaxing Country Cabin

Beautiful cabin/house in the country but still close to amenities. Lots of space, beautiful views…even a horse on property! Everything you could possibly need was provided. Clean, well stocked, comfortable!

We had an amazing long weekend getaway at the cabin! It is close enough to Asheville and surrounding areas while being quaint enough to make you not want to leave the premises and just disconnect. Everything was extremely clean and organized. Our daughter was obsessed with Rio - who we were able to feed carrots and apples. It was the perfect touch to a wonderful stay!

The house was absolutely amazing! It had the perfect acarage for the dogs to run and play ball. It had the perfect views from front of the house and back. It had a super friendly horse you could pet and feed. The inside was our favorite. It was a beautiful house and beautifully done. It had everything we needed and then some. It felt like home. Melissa the host was beyond amazing. She made sure we had everything we needed along with baskets of goodies and necessities. A clean dog bed and blanket for the dog along with treats. She answered our texts right away and just seemed like a true, genuinely nice person. We did not want to leave and we will definitely be back! My husband and I agree this was one of the best places we have stayed. A five star stay!!

Christmas in the Mountains

Our family had a fantastic time celebrating the holidays in this lovely home situated on a beautiful, expansive property surrounded by mountains. The owner went above and beyond by decorating for the holidays with thoughtful touches throughout the house. We were greeted with a personal card, flowers on the kitchen island and a basket of snacks. Also provided was a well-organized binder with information about the home, the surrounding area, and a card for discounts at the local grocery store. One of the highlights of the day was feeding apples and carrots to the owner's horse, Rio. The house was well appointed with all the essential kitchen items, and there were even extra toothbrushes provided in the bathrooms. Other highlights were enjoying coffee on the back porch watching the sunrise; and evenings by the firepit. Most of all we enjoyed the company of family in this bucolic setting.

Perfect mountain cabin!

Our family of 5 plus our puppy recently rented this cabin for our fall family getaway. We had a fabulous time here! Our kids and our pup loved the property so much! There is so much space for them to run around. Our hound dog had a fabulous time sniffing around and stretch his legs at the speed he loves. Boys spent hours fishing at the pond. Our 13 year old caught 15 sunfish all together on this trip which made this trip his best fishing experience ever! My husband brought his fly fishing gears with him and was able to catch several fish on different days as well. We released all the fish back to the pond, but many of them are in great size bigger than my husband’s palm which are good to eat! Our daughter loved spending time with Rio the horse every evening, feeding her carrots and apples, and brushing her. She misses Rio as soon as we left and made us promise to take her back to the same property next time we come to the mountains. Honestly, I too can’t wait to come back to this cabin myself! Sitting at the porch sipping on my morning coffee while enjoying the beautiful fall colors, the quiet of the surroundings, and the lovely fall morning sunshine was my favorite part. We’ve also had many family pool games competitions inside. So much fond memories we’ve created here! I have recommended this place to several friends since we got home. We’ve truly enjoyed our stay! Melissa the owner of the property is such a sweet lady and very responsive to any questions we had, she takes such great care of this place! I believe anyone who rent this place would have the same fabulous experience as us.

Didn't Want to Leave

I just recently moved to the beach and staying here made me want to pack up and move to Canton. Out of all the places I've stayed over the past few years this one was my favorite. Beautiful surrounds, peaceful, accommodating but close enough to where you can be in town in a few minutes. Hope to come back!

Wonderful Setting , Comfy Home, Relaxing Stay

Do not hesitate to book this mountain getaway. We were very pleased about all aspects of the rental, especially the beautiful mountains, fields, and streams that surround the property. The owner is a very warm and accommodating person. We look forward to a future booking.

Great Place

We had a great stay! The owner was easy to communicate with and the property is really beautiful. We loved the outdoor space and feeding Rio (the horse) in the evening. The location is perfectly positioned between Asheville and hiking options heading Westward or South toward Brevard. The family room was large enough was sufficient seating for the entire family. We would highly reccomend!

Beautiful Cabin in Canton NC

What a gem of a cabin! Beautiful views from both the front and back porch. Surrounded by mountains on all four sides. We loved it! The cabin has every thing you would need and so much more. Perfect location, just far enough off the beaten path to enjoy the country but close enough to be at a grocery store or nice restaurant is less than 10 minutes. We took several day trips to Biltmore, whitewater rafting in Bryson City, horse back riding in Marshall, casino in Cherokee, shopping in Asheville but by far our best time was spent at the cabin. We had our two fur babies with us and they loved having so much space to play. Feeding Rio every afternoon was the highlight of our vacation. All I can say is a week wasn't long enough, we truly didn't want to leave and we can't wait to go back.

Exceeded Expectations

We went as a family vacation w it h some who have never been to the mountains. They all loved the cabin with its views. The cabin was extremely clean and well stocked when we arrived. My children enjoyed running around the pasture and feeding the horse. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. We were able to make day trips to various locations around Asheville with ease and utilize the fully stocked kitchen for family dinner. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in the area and plan to stay here myself again.
