Welcome to `Hemlocks Over Muir`; a private cabin with an unbeatable view, situated overlooking Muir Valley. Watch rock climbers on the Bibliothek wall while relaxing in the The Grotto, or hike into Muir Valley from the front door. You`ll find excellent WiFi and 2 smart TV’s for your enjoyment, the bathroom has a large walk in shower and front load washer/dryer. When you aren`t relaxing in The Grotto, enjoy the disc golf or a fire at the fire pit.

- Hemlocks Over Muir is pet friendly however pet fee of $50 does not show in total balance. We have a $50 pet fee that covers up to 2 dogs. Please contact directly after booking to add this $50 fee.
- The Grotto is a large extended ledge below the cabin with a cave. It is easily accessible by stairs and provides a stunning view of the valley.
- Amenities include a fully equipped modern kitchen (standard coffee maker, microwave, oven, dishwasher), two smart TVs (Roku), WiFi, indoor fireplace, fire pit, hot tub, washer/dryer and more!
- Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom Downstairs: California King Bed | Upstairs Loft: 2 Queen Beds
- One full bathroom
- We provide fresh linens and towels. We also include essential starter packs to make your stay easier! (Starter packs include: 2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels, 3 shampoos and conditioners, 3 laundry pods, 3 dishwasher pods, 3 bar soaps, 3 trash bags, and 1 sponge.) Firewood not provided, please purchase locally!
- Please note that the cabin is located down a long gravel driveway. 2-wheel drive should be sufficient. Trailers prohibited.
- Central Red River Gorge location - Close to hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lines, sight-seeing, restaurants, and much more.
- Dogs permitted with $50 fee. (Dogs only; maximum 2 allowed. Dogs need to be crated if left at the property alone.) Pet fee does not automatically add to your balance, please contact us to apply after booking.
- Please contact us as soon as possible if you must cancel or reschedule your stay. No refunds or date modifications within 14 days or less of your arrival.
- No refunds are permitted due to weather. No exceptions. Winter weather (snow/ice) and flooding can occur in our area. You should be given the option to add Trip Insurance at booking check-out.
- Please be aware that no refunds are permitted for cancellations on holiday rates, which includes but is not limited to, New Year’s, Valentine`s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Beautiful, secluded location near everything the Gorge and Natural Bridge has to offer. Cozy cabin with great views, great place to recharge. The trail into Muir Valley was a little overgrown, but it’s awesome having trails accessible directly from the cabin.

Wonderful stay at Hemlocks. Did some hiking at Muir Valley and Red River Gorge. House was perfect for our family of 5. Hot tub was nice relaxer at the end of the day.

Another wonderful trip to Hemlocks Over Muir! The cabin and property were clean, well stocked, and exactly how we remembered it and reasons why we returned. We highly recommend Thatcher BBQ and RedPoint BBQ (get the smoked wings and thank me later)! Unfortunately the weather didn’t corporate and we had heavy rainfall our entire trip. Everything around Red River Gorge is geared to outdoor activities, so it made a long rainy trip tough to be cooped up indoors but this cabin has everything you need including lots of board games for those rainy days! We really enjoyed our time again and Patrick was again spot on with communication and response time! Just a few suggestions from returning guests:- The front right burner has stopped regulating heat and only heats on high.- I would suggest it is time to upgrade your cookware. The one larger skillet is uneven and it was difficult to cook with. One tiny one we didn’t try but would suggest a variety of sizes. This is a wonderful, peaceful place that we highly recommend and look forward to returning again!

We thoroughly enjoy our stay at Hemlocks Over Muir. Check-in was super easy and the views from the back are gorgeous! We could hear and see climbers sometimes that were climbing Muir Valley. We also highly recommend Red Point BBQ just down the street from here, the food was delicious.

Wonderful anniversary getaway

My husband and I truly enjoyed our anniversary getaway at Hemlocks over Muir. The cabin was exactly as advertised and one of the nicest cabins we've stayed in at the Gorge. Clean, modern, comfortable, and incredible access to hiking trails. We'll definitely be back!

The cabin was beautiful, inside and out. We unfortunately came across some plumbing issues but the owner was in constant communication and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful getaway

Very clean. Beautiful scenery. We saw some deer and turkeys during our stay. If you go, Daniel Boone Coffee and Redpoint BBQ are must stops.

Great secluded cabin

This was a great property and away from everyone. The cabin appeared to be new with great views and even a small cave in the backyard. Great getaway.

Perfect

The cabin was absolutely perfect was all the creature comforts we could ever wish for. Incredible view and hiking access directly into Muir Valley climbing.
