Star of the Sea! Ocean Front Vacation Home in Taft District,Private Beach Access

Thank you for the kind words about the home, the views, and the beach access. We appreciate your feedback about the cleaning and blinds, as well. I am happy to report that we have since completed a deep clean and are in the process of replacing all of the blinds.

Thank you for the review and for choosing Meredith Lodging. We're glad you enjoyed the view and that the fenced yard worked well for your pups. Sorry about the remote and the missing toaster — we’ll get those taken care of so future guests aren’t inconvenienced. We appreciate you letting us know and if there’s anything we could improve, don't hesitate to send us any additional feedback. We hope to welcome you back soon!

Thank you for noting the yard and view. We’re very sorry the home’s cleanliness, towels, and bedding fell far below expectations, and that the beds were uncomfortable for you. We have since completed a very thorough deep clean of the home and are addressing the pest issues with ongoing pest control. We will also have the housekeeping team conduct a quality control inspection of each mattress. We appreciate the detailed feedback and please know that we are using it to improve.

Thank you for calling out our responsive communication, the smooth arrival/departure process, and the easy access to the beach and nearby amenities. I'm sorry the home did not meet expectations for cleanliness or the condition of furnishings and stairs — that is disappointing to hear. but we sincerely appreciate the feedback. We will speak to housekeeping about scheduling a deep clean and we will also schedule a thorough audit for each of the furniture pieces. We will make a plan for upgrades from there. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

Thank you for the review and for choosing Meredith Lodging. We're glad the location, layout, and cleanliness were highlights of your family weekend. We appreciate the feedback about the 4:00 PM check‑in and 10:00 AM check‑out — those times help allow for thorough cleaning between stays, but we understand large-group logistics can make them challenging. When possible we do accommodate early check‑ins or late check‑outs upon request. If there’s anything else we could have done to earn five stars, we’d really appreciate your feedback. We hope to welcome you back soon.

Thank you for staying with us and for the review. I’m sorry your stay didn’t earn five stars. I’m glad you found the home very clean and that you enjoyed the location and views. Regarding your comment about the need for TLC - we'll absolutely inspect the unit and schedule the necessary maintenance and updates to address wear and cosmetic issues. Please message us through the Vrbo app with any specific items you noticed so we can address them. Thank you again for the feedback.

Thank you for the review and for choosing Meredith Lodging. We’re glad the view, large yard, and price point were just right for you. I’m sorry about the lights being out and the echo — we’ll check the bulbs and look into adding wall art/soft furnishings to help with the acoustics. We also appreciate you detailing the stairs to the beach for future renters. If there’s anything else we could have done to earn five stars, please message us through the Vrbo app; we’d really appreciate the feedback. We hope to welcome you back soon!

Hi Dawn! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We loved hosting your family and hope you will book with us again!

Thank you for the review and for pointing out the convenient location and ocean view as highlights of your stay. I'm sorry the condition of several items fell short. Our maintenance team will inspect the decking for any unstable sections and will immediately block those off until a contractor can repair them. We'll replace the damaged bedroom blinds and have arranged a professional deep clean to clear dust from ceiling fans and the return vent. We will also be tightening supervision of our inspectors given that these items should have been reported before you arrived. You should not have needed to worry about them during your stay and I'm truly sorry you did. We will use your feedback to make meaningful improvements.
