River Ridge 421A - Meredith Lodging


Step into this spacious Mt. Bachelor Village condo and prepare to be wowed. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows bring you sweeping views of the Deschutes River below, the wooded hillside beyond and the steep, boulder-strewn, sagebrush cliff. You can sip your morning coffee listening to the river roar, the birds sing, and the wind sift through the treetops, whether the landscape is graced with muted desert hues or frosted with new snow. You and your guests will happily gather in the large living room space, with plush sofa and chairs, high ceiling, gas fireplace, wall-mounted flat screen TV/DVD, a dining table and breakfast bar. The fully equipped kitchen has all you’ll need for informal dining, and you’ll love the large windows over the sink that bring nature in. The spacious bedroom is made even more open with a mirror wall and floor-to-ceiling windows. The large shared bath has a separate bedroom entrance. Walk out your door and gaze down the canyon as the wind sifts through the trees, or join the 2-mile Deschutes River Trail from the resort. Hop in the car for a five- or ten-minute drive to dozens of terrific Bend restaurants and extensive shopping at the Old Mill District or Downtown Bend. Skiing at Mt. Bachelor is 20 minutes away, and Deschutes River watersports and golf are even closer. Of course, all the Mt. Bachelor Village Resort perks listed below are available to you, making this home away from home both economical and incredibly rich in amenities.


This home can be combined with River Ridge 421B for an extra queen bedroom and full bathroom.


Your kids will flip for their own Kids Club area, with bean bag chairs, board games, and video game screens and controllers. A game room has foosball and shuffleboard, too.

Beautiful place and Views

It’s a beautiful place. I love the view. The bed was soft. I love the hot tub over looking the water. I would stay here again.

Great view…big bedrooms

Great place, amazing views! All rooms were big and comfy. Hot tub on the balcony was absolutely perfect. Left the window cracked at night so we could hear the river run all night..just perfect! We had a great stay and would stay again.

Great little vacation stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this house. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to have a quiet, relaxing time. We walked the river, enjoyed the pool and took a few trips into Bend. All very close and easily accessible. We will be back next year.

Loved this condo with a few exceptions.

We stayed here with another couple and we loved the view and how close we were to the Deshutes River Trail and all the tourists sites, restaurants etc. However one member of our group had a recent injury and could not participate in our activities due to the staris to the unit. The photos made it appear that the unit was ground floor with a second bedroom on the second floor but there was a flight of staris just to enter the condo. I think VRBO should list accessability in it's listings.

Needs some updating

We loved the view, location, and layout of this property. Sadly, it needs some repair/updating/cleaning. There was a broken chair in the living room, the downstairs bedroom window blind was broken and the toaster was broken. Cobwebs all over lamps and in the corners and windows. It needs a “once over”.

Great View!

The location is fantastic with an amazing view! It was great to have the windows open at night to hear the rushing river. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub on the deck was great. The carpet upstairs could stand to be cleaned and/or replaced as it was quite stained. The only other concern was that we had some questions but the property contact info sends you to a call center in India which is not great. Also, the kitchen did not have any sponges or wash clothes to clean the dishes and only one dish towel. Not helpful for a 4 night stay. But overall, we had a great time.

Lovely spot but…

We enjoyed the condo stay. We stayed in February during a very cold period in Bend. The Nest thermostat was out of our control with a PIN code not shared with us. I contacted the property management and they told me the owners do not share this code with guests. It was doing a night set back to 53 degrees at night and would not go below 68 in the daytime -due to the programing of the Nest and we couldn’t change that . We would have saved the owners some money because we prefer a temperature of 65 for daytime. Also the downstairs bedroom blind cord is broken on one side. It is a lovely condo however. We enjoyed the location and the amenities. Thank you.

was kind of a bummer to have to get on phone to get a valid code for the door. that only took 3 tries. Then walk in to see a broken coffee pot with a note on it that it was broken?!?! Why not replace it before the people renting the unit arrive, common sense was lacking

Great location and unit layout

We really liked the river Ridge layout and location in Bend. We did have an issue with the TV being not connected to the internet at all when we arrived and this unit only has SamsungTV over the internet so no local or national channels which we didn't care for. Maintenance guy came after hours and worked on it for 30 minutes to get the internet TV working but we never got the WiFi to work with our laptops during our stay. Another negative was there were cobwebs all over, especially up in the higher ceiling areas and around the windows. We cleaned what we could reach ourselves but a place like this we didn't expect to have cobwebs at this level. Couch is worn out, paint on the walls is worn too in many places and the carpeting upstairs is very stained. Ice maker also was not working. So a few things that could easily be taken care of and this would be a 5 star place for us. But we love Bend and this police blows away the ski hut places across the way in terms of unit layout.
