Welcome to "My Island Home", a family home in a bush setting in central Point Lookout.
Set back off the street surrounded by native trees and plants, you will have peace and quiet making for a very comfortable holiday.
Beaches, cafes, shops, hotel and bus stops are all close by, so leaving the car in the tandem carport and walking everywhere is an option.
This property offers a well equipped kitchen with a large fridge/freezer, electric oven and gas cooktop, dishwasher and microwave. There is a top loading washing machine and clothes dryer in the laundry.

The main bedroom with a king size bed, air conditioning and an ensuite, the second bedroom with 2 single beds and 2 way family bathroom are all on the entry level. The well planned kitchen, dining and lounge which open onto the BBQ balcony are also on this level. Upstairs on a mezzanine floor that looks down into the living room is a single bed and office desk where you can work from home away from the activity downstairs. Also on this floor is a spacious queen bedroom with lounge chairs and TV. All of the bedrooms and main living area have ceiling fans.

Great location great house just need better cleaning

We enjoyed our stay. Only issue was the property wasn’t clean at all, lots of dirty dishes been packed away, one of sauce pans was still full of oil in cabinet, linens not clean

Pleasant stay

The house was very nicely furnished, kitchen well stocked of household items. The weather was very humid, and one air-conditioned bedroom made it hard for the infants to sleep during the day.

Perfect for our group of 8

Everyone absolutely loved the stay here. On the first night, we all wished that we could stay for longer and agreed that it's such a relaxed home to be at. The living area is perfect and allowed us to hang out so easily. We were also grateful for the kitchen supplies and utensils that made cooking meals much easier. Thank you kindly.

Great location but house needs some love

Great location and living room & some bedrooms nicely decorated. Rest of house quite run down & not very clean on arrival. Updated fans/aircon would improve comfort as it was difficult to cool the house down during the day.

Lovely location and Nice house however cleaning needs improvement and provision of basic goods

We loved the location and the overall house, lovely living are and bedrooms. However not impressed with cleanliness. I think the property would benefit from a big spring clean. Kitchen cupboards need a bug clean out. Floor looked like it hadnt been cleaned, and there was class on the floor in the upstairs bedroom proving it was not vacuumed properly. Also basic goods such as toilet paper and bin bags should have been provided considering the high price tqg of the property, even just a roll in the bathrooms to begin the stay. There was no toilet paper at all, and just one single bin bag in the bin, no extras provided.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is nicely decorated with good breezes through many windows and good screens. However, there is only air con in one bedroom. The upstairs bedroom gets very hot and has no air con or ceiling fan, making it extremely uncomfortable. In total 3 pedestal fans were provided for 4 sleeping spaces and a living room. House was a great size for 5 adults and 4 toddlers. Very well equipped kitchen. Master bedroom smelt a bit mouldy - I had to clean mould off the drawers in the cupboard. Too far to walk to the beach so we drove. The driveway up to the house is VERY steep and curving so be warned.We would come back if they air conditioned the upstairs. Owners please take this on board!

Ok, it didn't have a pool like the original booking but the worst thing was it had no wifi. There was no phone reception at the property either so we were totally cut off from all communications. Not fine for teenagers in the rain.
