This spacious 2 bedroom plus loft, 3 bathroom townhouse in Mammoth Lakes is just across the street from Snowcreek golf course, walking distance to the center of town and right on the Red Line Winter shuttle route. This warmly decorated townhouse offers a mountain cabin feel with all the amenities you would need. Adjacent to the community pool and spa and not far from the tennis courts, this condo enjoys partial views of the Sherwin Mountains and Mammoth Mountain. The living area features a large flatscreen Smart TV with DVD player and streaming capabilities (no cable), and seating for everyone to gather around the pellet stove fireplace. The open plan kitchen and dining area allows for great social evenings with dining for 6 and counter bar stools for additional seating for 2. The fully-stocked kitchen allows you to prepare full meals, with all the appliances needed. Enjoy Grilling on the BBQ on the private deck, and lastly there is an additional full bath with walk-in shower on this level. The upstairs open loft is a great spot for the kiddos or singles offering 4 twin beds. The master downstairs on the lowest level features a Queen bed, TV, walk-in closet and full en-suite bath with tub/shower combo and dual vanity. The second bedroom features a Queen bed, TV and en-suite full bath with tub/shower combo. The unit also offers a private washer/dryer in unit, great for those extended stays, and an outside ski locker to store all your gear. The beautiful Snowflower complex offers a great outdoor pool (Summer only), year-round spa, sauna, laundry facilities, BBQ grill area (Summer only), tennis courts and looks out to amazing views of the Sherwin Mountain Range and the Snowcreek Meadow. It is a short walk to Groceries, Coffee Shops, Restaurants & Shops in the center of Town. The complex neighbors Mammoth Creek park which is a fantastic community family park, as well as the new Town Community Recreation Center with indoor ice rink (Winter only). All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club, which is located close by, to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more. This place is a time capsule! In some ways, that's great. It was fun to have a record player (with a cassette deck!) and the kitchen is straight out of the 80's. I admire the upkeep and care it takes to keep kitchen appliances from the 80's functioning and looking good, but they aren't great functionally if you plan on doing a lot of cooking. The oven has a normal size door, but then you open it up and there is some internal mechanism (we joked that it's where you put the coal) taking up half the space, so functionally, it's really small. There are also only 2 burners one small, one large. The microwave is ANALOG, so it's like from the original rollout, lol. My young adult children had no idea how to use it and it was hilarious. We come yearly with families staying in other condos, and different families host dinners on different nights. We were not able to cook at our place for the group due to the small oven (with inconsistent heat that burned half of what we cooked) and limited burners, so had to bring everything to another condo to cook. Something that I find really irritating, but I think has to do more with the management company (Mammoth Reservations) than the owners, are the cheesy and silly limits on laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper and dishwashing tablets. If you are not planning to do a lot of cooking and just need a clean place to sleep and shower, this place is a good option, especially if you have a pet.

Great family place!

Only thing I wished they had was a fan upstairs because it got really hot up there and my kids struggled to sleep. It looked like they had one but it was broken.

Great layout- but needs maintence

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love staying at Snowflower. The layout is great and many units- includng this one, allows dogs. This is definately one of the older units, the microwave was from the 80s (turn dial to set time) and the hot water ran out fairly quickly (after 1 adult shower). The unit was clean and Mammoth Rentals service is always spot on. I was doing yoga one morning in the bedroom downstairs and the carpet did have a bit of an odor to it, so maybe it needs a deep cleaning. We prefer to stay in other units but will use this one in a pinch! Great location, close to Eagle lodge. Plenty of closet space, and TVs in every room.

It was right against the street although the noise was not an issue. Just needed to consider that when leaving curtains open since bedroom was on the 1st floor. If you have dogs, not enough room to bring them out to go for potty. Small patches of grass. We usually like a bit more open space. 3 levels so expect stairs. If you or your dogs are older, take that into consideration. Other than that it had everything you needed. Heat worked great as well as pellet stove in living room. Property management was responsive when needed.

There was no smell of dog despite this being a pet friendly unit. In short everthing worked and the kitchen was reasonably well stocked with cutlery and cooking implements. Things to be aware of: 1) the appliances are dated but functional, 2) the oven is small, 3) no cable TV but you can stream your own accounts over WIFI, 4) don't expect to sleep in as you can hear street noise on Minaret Raod from master bedroom. For a place that would accept our dog, this was pretty much what I'd expect - dated but clean and serviceable. I'd stay here again if I brought my dog but would look for nicer/better value if leaving him at home.

Great location and amenities

The property is a little dated but it has everything you need for your stay. The hot tub and pool were great after a long day of hiking. The upstairs loft twin beds were uncomfortable and old but other beds were decent.

Accurate listing and good location

We very much liked the location, with its easy walk to town on the creek path. The condo was a bit dated but clean and affordable.

Fine overall

Location and cleanliness were fine. Comfortable place with a functioning bbq. What a realtor once described as "Austin Powers interior". Which is fine. The big negative was the stove from the 80s. Two burners of use and one had a disk under the temp control that showed the setting that just spun. So you had no way to know the setting. I know these rentals are annuities, and you don't upgrade them unless absolutely necessary, but how much does a proper four burner electric stove cost, $600? It would be a huge upgrade, and I can't recommend this property unless it's replaced.

Had some issues, the listing was wrong on VRBO and the oven didn’t work but Managment gave us a bit of relief and fixed the oven even in a blizzard.

The loft beds get the morning light from the big window that face the loft, so that's not good for late sleepers. The kitchen had all the necessities. Not so much with cleaning products, though. Dish soap and dishwasher liquid yes, but not anything to clean the stove or counters besides that. The broom didn't have a dustpan. Things like that made it hard for us to keep the place clean. (We managed!) We had a really nice time - thank you.
