Beware of sandflies
The property would’ve been great, but unfortunately we had to leave the very next day as the property WAS INFESTED with sandflies. It would’ve been a great stay but when we got to the property, the downstairs ranch slider; windows, living area & bathroom were riddled with midgees. While it’s normal for lake homes to be affected by sandflies, this was another level! We attempted to vacuum and clean the areas, but sadly it made no difference. The property manager and owners were able to get a friend in to clean the property, but unfortunately we had to leave, as we were fearful that the same issue would occur the next day. Even in the morning, we were inhaling sandflies. I would suggest an exterior house spray may resolve the issue as the affected areas are only the areas that are lett to those that rent the Book a Bach area. Other than that, the property has great potential.
